Long, straight, borded by cypress trees - another very typical and charming road setup in Tuscany.

Despite very low temperatures which make us think we live in the South Pole, this rose tree is full of rosebuds in my garden. But they won't bloom !

Flickr friends, a windstorm knocked out my Internet all day on Saturday, and my service has only now been restored, so I have fallen behind on comments. I'll be looking to catch up with your latest images on Sunday.

I saw this bird in Colombia and its one of the few birds that I also saw in Costa Rica. I was surprised how little overlap there was.

"Calati junco who passes the china" is an invitation to patience and strength, waiting for better times.
----------------------
This Sicilian proverb literally translates as: "Bend the rush until the flood is over".
Going beyond the simple literal meaning, it means that it is better to accept difficult situations in view of better times.
