The Yong An Pagoda (永安塔) is one of the attractions along the "Anting Old Street" (安亭老街).
Anting Town may be more known as the home of Shanghai Volkswagen, but as everywhere around Shanghai places are redeveloped for tourism, Anting Town could not pass this trend. A section of the oldest parts of the town, close to the border with Jiangsu Province, has been redeveloped as "Anting Old Street".

Exploring the sand dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana. The sunset was a bust, but a day at the beach still beats a day pretty much anywhere else.

This royal Renaissance castle was founded in 1549 by Gustav I (or Gustav Vasa as he is generally called in Sweden), but not finished until the early 17th century.
This is an Aluminum statue of Maximilian Graf von (Count) Montgelas located on the Promenadeplatz square in Munich.
The 6 m tall statue was made in 2005 by Karin Sander. She digitized pictures of the count, then calculated the shape. Finally the statue was CNC machined from Aluminum, the weight is about 9 metric tons.

I don't often use a DX lens with my full-frame camera but I wanted the reach that my Nikon 200mm DX gave me to get this tree, situated well into Loch Eck, nicely framed..
.
I've kayaked out to this tree a few times and got out ... standing in the middle of the loch is a weird experience :)
