This Puffin had obviously had a very successful fishing trip. Then it had to run the guantlet of the Gulls trying to take its catch before getting to the safety of its burrow.
Sorry I am a little busy at the moment to spend much time on flickr or processing new images
As the light shone through the fog and the twisted snowgums
I moved around and shot many panos before it lifted
This is a six shot stitch
A close look at the south pier across the harbor entrance shows several ghosted images of other sunset and ice admirers.
Taranaki falls tumble over the 20 metres edge of a large lava flow, which erupted from Ruapehu 15,000 years ago, then plunges into a boulder-ringed pool. From below the falls there are fabulous views into the water-worn gorges of the Wairere Stream.

Virtually no colour in this sunrise ... quite a contrast with the one the day before - see previous posting. We get this wonderful mist almost every morning in the early Autumn.
I climbed the icy steps of the St. Joseph Lighthouse to get different perspective of the sunset over Lake Michigan. I had to crop the image more than I wanted to because the right and lower margins didn't fare well while the pano was being constructed in Photoshop.

Bald sind die letzten Blätter von den Bäumen gefallen. Das Laub der Buchen hat schon seine schöne gelb und Rotfärbung verloren.
Der Wald bereitet sich auf den Winter vor.

Have a nice weekend
Hopefully the last post from my (blog) archive.
I suspect that the computer soon back is.
The component for repair has arrived.
Now assemble and then send it to the branch.
Thanks for your visit and comments, I appreciate that very much!

El sol se va; su rastro luminoso
ha quedado un instante en su camino:
¿Quién seguirá en su curso misterioso
la infinita inquietud de su destino?
El sol se va; la sombra se amontona;
las nubes en opacos escuadrones
avanzan al ocaso, y se abandona
la atmósfera a sus rápidas visiones
El sol se va; las nieblas se levantan;
los fuegos del crepúsculo se alejan;
murmura el árbol y las aves cantan;
Y ¿quién sabe si aplauden o se quejan?
Adiós, fúlgido sol, gloria del día!
