Tropea is one of the symbols represented by the island of Tropea , before completely detached from the city and then reunited dall'insabbiamento .
Built by the Benedictines , with late - medieval style , it underwent ' various modifications , until it is the renaissance of a Latin basilica.
After several earthquakes in 1060 came under the jurisdiction of the Benedictine abbey of Montecassino . Today the church has three small aisles
Amen!
abbracci e sorrisi a voi! grazie di tutto!!! Ale
The Nott Memorial is an elaborate 16-sided stone-masonry building which serves as both architectural and physical centerpiece of Union College in Schenectady, New York. Dedicated to Eliphalet Nott, president of Union for a remarkable sixty-two years (1804-1866), the 110-foot (34 m) high by 89-foot (27 m) wide structure is a National Historic Landmark.
Okay, it's not actually within our backyard, but it's just beyond it. The yard behind our house borders a large park that is just being developed. The park was recently seeded, and the straw was put down as mulch. I took this shot while standing on our backyard deck. I think these Sandhill Cranes must have been eating the grass seed.
I know that there's not a lot going on in this image. But I rather like the repetitive poses of the birds, and I thought it was kind of cool that I could get this shot without leaving home, so I decided to go with it. The abundance of Sandhill Cranes in the area near our new home in Michigan has been one of the pleasant surprises of living here.

Moltketurm on top of the Wiehengebirge near Porta Westfalica.
October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.

Sorry I am a little busy at the moment to spend much time on flickr or processing new images
As the light shone through the fog and the twisted snowgums
I moved around and shot many panos before it lifted
This is a six shot stitch

Virtually no colour in this sunrise ... quite a contrast with the one the day before - see previous posting. We get this wonderful mist almost every morning in the early Autumn.
