Tropea is one of the symbols represented by the island of Tropea , before completely detached from the city and then reunited dall'insabbiamento .
Built by the Benedictines , with late - medieval style , it underwent ' various modifications , until it is the renaissance of a Latin basilica.
After several earthquakes in 1060 came under the jurisdiction of the Benedictine abbey of Montecassino . Today the church has three small aisles
Uno dei simboli di Tropea è rappresentato dall'isola di Tropea, prima completamente staccata dalla città e poi ricongiunta dall'insabbiamento.
Costruita dai Benedettini, con stile tardo-medievale, subì' varie modifiche, fino a portarla in età rinascimentale a basilica latina.
Dopo vari terremoti nel 1060 entrò sotto la giurisdizione dell'abbazia benedettina di Montecassino. Oggi la chiesetta si presenta a tre piccole navate

This Puffin had obviously had a very successful fishing trip. Then it had to run the guantlet of the Gulls trying to take its catch before getting to the safety of its burrow.

Virtually no colour in this sunrise ... quite a contrast with the one the day before - see previous posting. We get this wonderful mist almost every morning in the early Autumn.
Enjoying some solitude at the punch bowl waterfall. I'm sure later in the day this place was crawling with people. But early in the morning, I had it all to myself.
A knight carries spears used in a joust at this year's Michigan Renaissance Festival, near Holly, Michigan. And he's walking beside a high wooden fence for Fence Friday too. :-)
