Unusually bright and colourful late afternoon in the local woods in what is otherwise the worst, dull, grey and damp month of the year.
I am sure you all know by now that I like shots with trees, mist and reflections, hence the title. I liked this view as the mist was even softening the trees on the oppostie bank which were only a short distance away.
Het grootste aaneengesloten bosgebied in Zuid-Limburg!
Schinveldse bossen.

First light on Mt. Rainier reflected in Tipsoo Lake.
Stumbling around in the dark and fidgeting in the chill waiting for the show to begin is such a wonderful way to start a day. Often fighting off one's pillow and getting out so early doesn't lead to a worthy shot, but the gamble and anticipation is more than worth the time dedicated. Plus a good nap later.....
A couple shots from later this morning in comments.
I appreciate your views, comments, faves and support. Thanks!
Have a great week!
Thanks a lot for all !! :D
Loch Shiel
Lochaber, Highland, Scotland.
Loch Shiel is the location of the fictional Black Lake near Hogwarts in the film versions of the Harry Potter series.
This beautiful loch in the Scottish Highlands, has been used various times throughout the films as the backdrop for Hogwarts.
I drove down Glen Etive to take a few shots at the loch. I passed a few deer on the way and they did not seem that bothered by my presence, although they were mostly in the woods without much of a backdrop. I got out to take a shot of one of these deer and was about to change my lens as I still had my wide angle on, when this stag wandered into view without realising I was standing there. I don't know who was more suprised! He stared at me and I fired off a couple of quick shots. He was gone within seconds.

Hi ALL my dear flickr friends! I'm OK. But I don't have new photos, this winter is so bad, no sun... or I'm in office when the sun shines... :(

The most spectacular of ochre sites is nicknamed “the Colorado Provençal”. The unexpected Colorado of Rustrel ranks among Provence’s most beautiful attractions. Situated on one of the largest ochre quarries in the world, the Colorado of Rustrel was, at one time, one of the best known producers of ochre in France. Today, the hues and the strange looking shapes of the outcrops, shaped by centuries of exposure to the elements, are simply breathtaking.

Seen during another bike tour on a wonderful autumn day with perfect weather in Stuttgart, Bad Cannstatt (Steinhaldenfeld), Germany next to the river Neckar.
The golden tones of the foliage are really very lushly this year.
