Francesco Melzi d’Eril, count of Lodi and Vice president of the First Italian Republic in the time of Napoleon, decided at the beginning of the 19th century to build a summer residence at Bellagio.
The villa was built between 1808 and 1810;
The park was commissioned to Luigi Canonica and the agronomist Luigi Villoresi, who also laid out the Parco di Monza The axis of the garden extends up the slope from the lake to a high point above the villa.
It is crossed by many winding paths.
Under the trees, along the shore and at the intersections of the paths, are Egyptian sculptures and Roman statues which add to the romantic atmosphere of the garden. According to the taste of the period lots of exotic trees were planted. Fascinating is the Japanese pond with water lilies, surrounded by Japanese maple trees and cedar trees.
Gem in the valley of the Black Ernz / Mullerthal / Little Luxembury Switzerland, a destination for many visitors and hikers.

Polyommatus icarus (argus bleu)
I shot this nice butterfly in backlight against a uniform cloudy sky, resulting in a white background. So, I decided to merge the butterfly image with a bokeh image, taken with a 300mm lens at full opening to get perfectly round bokeh patterns.

The person on the right ran randomly while photographing this prominent tree on the outskirts of my place of residence. So he did exactly what I was on the way, a "winter walk".
Die Person rechts lief rein zufällig während des Fotografierens dieses markanten Baumes am Ortsrand meines Wohnortes ins Bild. So machte er genau das, weshalb ich damals auch unterwegs war, nämlich einen "Winterspaziergang".
Todos los años, durante el mes de Julio, se celebra en Igualada el "European Balloon Festival", una especie de homenaje a una ciudad de curiosa y sorprendente tradición aerófila.
Como ya había realizado alguna sesión fotográfica en el lugar desde el que despegan, quise variar el punto de vista y fotografiarlos desde las alturas, en la Tossa de Montbui.
Pero el día amaneció con una densa neblina veraniega, que amenazaba con imposibilitar cualquier intento de conseguir buenas tomas.
Poniendo en práctica aquella máxima de "cuando no puedas vencerle, únete a él", me propuse convertir la niebla y el intenso color dorado del amanecer en aliado en vez de enemigo y esperar el despegue de los globos pensando en cómo componer cuando llegase el momento.
Y el perfil de la montaña del Puig Aguilera como horizonte, la ciudad de Igualada despertando por debajo y el perfil siempre atractivo de la hilera imaginaria de aerostáticos ascendiendo hacia la luz, me ayudaron cuanto pudieron.

It was a bit cloudy when I got up this morning and took the dog down the beach. I was not expecting much, but spotted this little composition just before the sun broke the horizon. I was thinking of this as a black and white long exposure with the rocks against a white sky, but suddenly the sun came through a little break in the cloud and added the wonderful colours.
