Schloss Rheinsberg liegt in der Gemeinde Rheinsberg, etwa 100 km nordwestlich von Berlin im Landkreis Ostprignitz-Ruppin. Das am Ostufer des Grienericksees gelegene Schloss gilt als Musterbeispiel des sogenannten Friderizianischen Rokokos und diente auch als Vorbild für Schloss Sanssouci.
Rheinsberg Palace (German: Schloss Rheinsberg) lies in the municipality of Rheinsberg, about 100 kilometres northwest of Berlin in the German district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin. The palace on the eastern shore of the Grienericksee is a classic example of the so-called Frederician Rococo architecture style and served as a basis for Sanssouci Palace.

After a week with rain and storm the weather calmed down and the temperatures dropped significantly. We used Saturday for a trip into the Detmold Area to visit the Externsteine and the Hermansdenkmal.
Die Samuel Beckett Bridge (irisch: Droichead Samuel Beckett) ist eine Schrägseilbrücke über den Fluss Liffey in der irischen Hauptstadt Dublin. I had seen this ethanol plant as I drove by numerous times, and thought it might be fun to photograph. This time I actually took a few minutes to stop and give it a try. This photo was made from two images merged together to make it somewhat of a panoramic shot.

Diese einst so stolze Festung, war zu ihrer Blütezeit die größte Burg in ganz Ostbayern. Durch Misswirtschaft ist sie heute nur noch ein Schatten ihrer selbst.
Allerdings wird jetzt Mithilfe von Archäologen und einem gemeinnützigen Verein die Burg nicht nur erhalten, sondern zum Teil wieder aufgebaut.
This once proud fortress, was in its heyday the largest castle in all of Eastern Bavaria. Through mismanagement it is now only a shadow of itself.
However, now the help of archaeologists and a non-profit association will not only get the castle, but partially rebuilt.
