The Our Lady of Victory Basilica is a Catholic parish church and national shrine in Lackawanna, New York. Due to the multiple charities of founder Father Nelson Baker, the shrine is a popular pilgrimage and visitor destination in Lackawanna. It is part of the Diocese of Buffalo.
This star trail is about 70 images which I have added as a separate layer masking out the night sky in this single shot using a LED torch to light paint the foreground which I cut off at the horizon.
Nowadays I use warmer light for light painting

Taking a water taxi around Venice as the sun is setting is a joy! Let the captain of the boat chose the route. Then just sit back and enjoy all of Venice in as little as one and half hours.
Sorry about all of the typos lately! I'm uploading photos a different way and it seems to misplace letters!
Walkers strolling along the Boardwalk in the Yellowstone's Midway Geyser Basin. The Grand Prismatic Spring is magnificent as seen from the chalky, steep, treacherous hill to it's SW.
The Opal and Turquoise pools are above it with the Excelsior pool steaming to the right.
Thank you for taking a look!

Distant walkers. Bright blond heads. Lots of foliage. Misty Autumn morning, Lime Avenue, Westonbirt Aboretum, Gloucestershire.
A long exposure shot taken at the Belem tower in Lisbon as the sun rose, and before the tourists arrived. It reminds me what a wonderful spot Lisbon is. Must get back there pronto.

An ephemeral river due to the falling tide.

Il ponte della Priula sul fiume PIAVE
Geografia .

Encounter with a desert-adapted Black Rhino in the Damaraland, Namibia, on a walk.
This was a desired encounter. We were with 3 guides taking good care of us.
As the huge animal came too close, they chased it away with loud shouts.

Any evening shot from Stanley Park looking at the skyline of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This is one of my favourite places. I spent a lot of time in this area growing up.

The sunrise at Mesa Arch is so fantastic that just one shot can't be enough. Here's another from my collection, this one with the rocks in foreground and more sky over the arch. Cannot get tired of place like this, In fact I hope to get back soon there. In Island in the Sky, Moab.

Taken at Portage lake last night. The temperatures were around -8F degrees. I came across this section of the lake where the ice had fractured and piled up on the beach. I highlighted the foreground by using my LED Coleman latern on low setting to paint the ice and the sharp angles of the snow. Unfortunately I just missed the huge explosion of the northern lights in the background. There were oranges, pinks, and greens.
