Love the way grasses look in Winter, they add interest to the landscape. I leave mine up all Winter so the birds have a little extra shelter and a few seeds to nibble on. Also, on a quiet day, you can hear the grasses moving with the breeze and it's peaceful.
One of those shots where if I managed to take two steps to the left the composition would have been perfect, unfortunately I was standing right of the edge of the loch as it was. I think it looks good in black and white to emphasise the mist and contrast with the trees in the distance.

Winter landscape from Kerkini Greece. the location is at Strymonas river delta the beginning of lake Kerkini. background is surrounded from the mountain Belle wich is the natural border between Greece and Bulgaria.

The Yu Garden in Shanghai is very old. It dates back to the 1500's. Parts of the garden were destroyed during the Opium Wars in the late 1800's but the garden has always been rebuild and lovingly maintained. I visited this garden twice while i was in the city.
Certain elements are always found in a Chinese garden. Water and stones are essential. The Chinese scour the countryside to find just the right rocks and study where to place them The rocks generally are selected because they resemble a creature or another element of nature. Lovely buildings called halls are scattered through the garden. Carved openings in the walls look out onto the garden.
During a bike ride on a sunny summer day it is just relax on this bench with stunning views over the river Crooked Rhine (Dutch: Kromme Rijn).
The Kromme Rijn is a river in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands, running from the Lower Rhine at Wijk bij Duurstede to the Urban canal in Utrecht.
The 28 kilometer long river meanders in a northwesterly direction through the towns Wijk bij Duurstede, Cothen, Werkhoven, Odijk and Bunnik to Utrecht.

Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.
As you can see on the picture in the first comment Cortez is very skinny, but the good news is he doesnot need insuline anymore since september 2016. And he still is doing well. Allthough he sleeps more, his appetite is good and he still can jump on the kitchen counter to see if their is some food left.
