The shoot of an Iconic photo of the Mesa Arch during the sunrise for my personal portfolio has been a big challenge to me. The photo was in my mind since my departure from Italy. Such day I was worried, nervous, thrilled and deadly late. After an early morning 60km reckless car drive, and a final rush on stones, sand, and plants, running, with my whole gear on my back, I've found the spot completely overcrowded, I had to sit down between two other kind photographers and shoot freehand because there wasn't place for my tripod. Failure wasn't an option. Hope I've got my picture.

1O years ago, a cheap camera in my bag, could not shoot to save my life. Went for a couple of months to SF, took may be 2000 thousand pics, if 10 came out watchable I m lucky. Here is one , yes yes, you can laugh.

Marmolada Glacier (Ghiacciaio della Marmolada) is the only glacier in the Italian Dolomites. We took the ‘Funivia Fedaia Marmolada’ up Mount Marmolada to the toe of the glacier. This was part of the front during World War I. There is a lot of history in the area available in small local museums. Although I did not attempt it, associated with the war is the oldest, highest and longest via ferrata in the Dolomites.

Eigentlich wollte ich mich nur sportlich betätigen am Strand - aber dann sah ich den Himmel und musste schnell meine Kamera aus dem Auto holen.
10 Minuten später war die rote Pracht wieder vorbei und der Himmel zeigte sich in gewohntem Grau.

October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.
