A good friend of mine Bruce Livingston sent me an image of a pipe organ and asked if I might use it as it really was a very cool geometric pattern shot. I have been playing around with it for a couple of weeks and it was going to make an appearance last week but I went a bit in another direction. I went back to the shot and carrying the theme of the New York Sykline, it managed to get stirred into the soup and produced many of the shapes and lines in this rather unique view of the New York Skyline as seen from the Staten Island Ferry. This is one of those slides that I just kept following to see where the work was going to take me, a twisted path but I love the looseness and fluidity of the lines. Only three images were used, a building facade, a pipe organ and some tourists taking a picture of the skyline from the ferry.
Thank you Bruce for letting me use your shot, probably didn't see this coming :).
Please visit the original and stroll through Bruce's excellent photostream:

The race of the "nant"
I did not took my tripod, but a flat pillar on the bridge where I stood allowed me to try my new ND filter. The result pleased me.
To note: a "nant" is a term that we find in Savoy, it means a beck or a torrent.

Today I was going by bike again. I have visited three "heads" (Kleinheppacher Kopf - 452 m, Hörnleskopf - 426 m and Korber Kopf - 456 m).
On the picture you see the view from Korber Kopf at the vineyard and the town Korb (a municipality in the Rems-Murr district, 15 km northeast of Stuttgart).

High waters in Macon
The Saone River was very high in this day of March in Macon, and the bottom of the Lamartine esplananade was under water, it was an unusual sight.
But the weather was mild with a lovely sun after several days of rain. So, it was the perfect time for a walk and admire the Saone river.

This view of the Vieux Lyon and Saint John cathedral filled me with joy
Last pause on the steep stairs rising to Fourvière, i was red when reaching the top of the stairs! The outstanding view of the Vieux Lyon ("old Lyon") and Saint John cathedral, which emerges still more, rewarded me well for the effort.
NB: I hesitated to choose between this shot and the first of the rise (see comment below) that each show the stairs I had to climb.
But finally, i got to put each online in Flickr, because i think they are both worth of it.

Long exposure shot of Mary's Shell at sunset shot in autumn / fall 2015. Mary's shell is a steel sculpture / public art on Cleveleys beach near Blackpool in Lancashire, England. It was installed on 25 September 2013. It is entirely exposed at low tide you can climb inside. At high tide only the highest part of the sculpture is visible above the waves. The sculpture is 4.6m tall, 8 m long and weighs 16.5 tonnes and has words from the story "Sea Swallow" etched inside.

We are here at the second Vauban's hut of the trail. They are 3 Vauban's huts at all. Dating from 17th century, these huts were built on the order of Vauban (1603 - 1703), military architect of King Louis XIVth, in order to survey the sea from the cliffs of Mont Saint-Michel's bay.
