un posto incantevole con una natura selvaggia;

At last I can go to my Mar Menor, winter was hard and I already needed it
Time’s marked and measured in different ways.
The colors of our lives were changing.
The vibrant greens of summer faded beneath the ever-varied canvas of sky,
replaced by the russet tones of autumn,
brown hues of harvest,
and blue-violet shades of indigo dye...

The building popularly known as Mirador Massue is located on the corner of Talcahuano and Tucumán streets, in front of Plaza Lavalle in the city of Buenos Aires. Designed in 1903 as a rental apartment building for David Costaguta, in 1989 it was partially demolished and remodeled to transform its use into rental offices, with only its well-known viewing tower surviving. Its current official name is Edificio Tribunales Plaza.

Helgoland is a German island in the North Sea.Helgoland was established around 4000 BC. an island due to rising sea levels after the last ice age. The island was colonized from Friesland in the 8th century. The current residents still speak a North Frisian dialect, the Helgolands or Halunder Freesk. It was incorporated into the Viking Empire. In 1720 a sandbank between Helgoland and the smaller island of Düne largely washed away due to a storm tide. The connection between the two islands was lost as a result. Heligoland remained in Denmark until 1814. The British conquered the island in 1807 from the Danes. The strategically important island. In 1890 the British exchanged Helgoland on Germany for East African Zanzibar. Emperor Wilhelm II converted Helgoland into a naval support point and it remained that way until after the Second World War. In the First World War all residents were forced to leave the island. At the end of World War II, a thousand airplanes from the Royal Air Force carried out a destructive bombing, dropping around seven thousand bombs, making the island uninhabitable and the population to be evacuated. In 1952 the population was allowed to return after long insistence.
The Helgoland museum offers a rich overview as to the history, the folklore and the nature of the island. Helgolander Franz Schensky (1871-1957) is one of the pioneers of black and white photography and has a permanent place in the history of German photography. Franz Schensky has his own place at the Helgoland museum. With his photos he takes you into the breathtaking world of the beauty of the North Sea. View of the west coast of Helgoland with the lighthouse, and its original church, built in 1685 on the Oberland. On the right the lighthouse built under English rule in 1811, demolished soon after the new lighthouse was built in 1902. The latter was destroyed in 1945. Photograph of Franz Schensky c. 1895.

“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more”

Andalusia is located in southern Spain and covers an area of 8 provinces. Andalusia is the second largest autonomous region in Spain. Beautiful Andalucía, the land of olives, oranges, sunflowers, beautiful mountain ranges and valleys, nice white mountain villages with beautiful squares, is a bridge between two continents, Africa and Europe, and is the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. There is something for everyone in Andalusia, from culture to beautiful terraces, sights, long beaches, beautiful inland areas with beautiful reservoirs, mountains and nice villages to visit. Málaga is second-most populous city of Andalusia. Known to many as the capital of the Costa del Sol, Málaga is more than a seaside city. Málaga's history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Europe. It was founded about 770 BC by the Phoenicians as Malaka. The archaeological remains and monuments from the Phoenician, Roman, Arabic and Christian eras make the historic center of the city an "open museum", displaying its history of nearly 3,000 years. With powerful walls visible from almost anywhere in the city, Málaga’s Alcazaba is a Moorish fortress palace and valuable monument from the Islamic era. Just down the hill, beyond the outer walls of the Alcazaba is a Roman Theatre the best ancient monument in the city.
Málaga is one of the oldest cities in Spain and hallmarks of its rich past are scattered across Malaga: the cobbled streets of the old quarter, its mountainside Roman Amphitheatre, the Moorish citadels of the Alcazaba and Gilfarbaro. And even once the sight-seeing is done, there’s still a city full of rooftop bars, gleaming boutique stores and nearby beaches to explore. At our first roundabout of Málaga we have such a nice vista all around town. The fountain of the Three Graces in the centre of the roundabout and the Moorish fortress Alcazaba and Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso on the background. The roundabout constitutes an important axis where the Park promenade, port of Malaga meet the Alcazaba tunnel.

Tonight, we sleep in an Indian community on Lake Titicaca, we are at 3812 m (12507 ft) altitude .
A change of scenery guaranteed !
The comfort was rustic, and there was no heating to overcome the cold of the night at this altitude. But fortunately, big wool blankets locally made kept us warm.

Looking down from the summit of Ben MacDui into Glen Dee, with Carn a' Mhaim on the left of the Glen and The Devils' Point to the right. The river Dee flows down the Glen eventually reaching the North Sea through Aberdeen harbour. We now have to drop down to the end of the ridge, using the boulder strewn slope appearing left of picture, to start the climb to Carn a' Mhaim. It's a long drop!!
Ben Macdui is the UK's 2nd highest peak (second only to Ben Nevis) and stands at 1309m (4294ft). After descending from this Munro we make a climb to the 2nd Munro of the day, Carn a' Mhaim (pronounced Carn-ah-Vame) at 1037m (3402ft).

Rock House
Built in the 1750s, Rock House is reputed to be one of the oldest houses in Edinburgh’s new town. It came to worldwide fame as the home of David Octavius Hill, the artist and pioneering photographer who in 1843 together with Robert Adamson developed the calotype process at Rock House.

In my previous photo I was face to face with this herd of cattle, and really after our curiosity they went away, rest after a long day.
I have been an absentee for personal reasons, but I love being here sharing my works and admiring, also, the works of my friends.
* I'm grateful for the visit, faves and comments of my photo.
It was a long time ago that i desired to see Machu Picchu. This
dream was realized in 2018.
This incredible Inca city perched in the mountains appeared to my amazed eyes after one day of fantastic hiking on the Inca trail.
It was late afternoon and an exceptional light bathed the entire site.
Finally, the sunset behind the mountains gave us a breathtaking view of the city.
How not to think about Pablo Neruda's poem "The Heights of Machu Picchu" and what he wrote elsewhere on Machu Picchu:
"Machu Picchu is a trip to the serenity of the soul, to the eternal fusion with the cosmos, where we feel our fragility.
It is one of the greatest marvels of South America. A resting place of butterflies in the epicentre of the great circle of life. One more miracle."

Light painting with Sabine.R as the "grand finale" of a photowalk at the Zitadelle Spandau / Spandau Citadel. As before, Sabine painted the orb while I was operating our cameras. This time I managed to capture the whole orb (the one before taken at a previous photowalk had been only half an orb, because I had made a mistake with the exposure on my camera; please see first comment). This orb still isn't perfectly captured, because I was a little too late with stopping the long exposure on my camera, but I actually like the colourful, rhythmic "afterglow" of Sabine's multicolour light painting flashlight, because it reminds me of a heartbeat as seen on a medical monitor. The vital signs look good, don't you agree?
