I'm having England withdrawal. I just finished posting some random Holga photos of London on my blog site: www.gretchenhayhurst.wordpress.com
I'm not 'planning' to return until 2013 and I am missing the country and the city already even though I was there a couple of months ago.
The city was under construction wraps every where I went...getting ready for the Olympics, I presume. So I'm sitting this year out.......maybe

Each stone and each star represents a jew that was deported to a concentration camp during world war II. Most never returned. One stone is missing a star, but many more were gone.
Now this is a heck of a glitch. It got worse too. Pretty sure Lucida Grande corrupted in memory, as a restart did fix it.

Sue, it was so nice to meet you! Thanks for dropping in and giving us the chance to meet you in person. With all you do, I don't know how you made time. lol Your cupcakes are a work of culinary art and it will not be long before the rest are missing. Thank you!
There were some hoodoos with the top layer missing. This one just had some smaller rocks on the top. Some had nothing.
Missing the time when I, playing outdoor, used to write my secrets with a piece of wood on the ground, erasing them immediately after, and always observed by an attentive look of my little close friends... hardly trying to guess what was going on on my head.

Lila Nelson, working disaster relief for American Red Cross (left), helps Jane Presta check the list for missing friends at Bayhill Shopping Center in San Bruno, Calif., on Sept. 10, 2010.
Jessica Stuart said her friend lives a block away from the epicenter of the explosion and is in the hospital with third-degree burns on his chest and arms. The burn victim's girlfriend hasn’t been found.
“They’re still looking for her,” She said, sitting on a rock on Glenview Drive Friday morning waiting for more information.

Day 136:
This is the scene when I came home. My family was nowhere to be found. This was extremely eerie to me because this house is always so neat and tidy and here is a complete mess. It is like they vanished into thin air.

I worked hard painting this fridge. It may have been inadequate for our needs and nearly broken, but it was *red* and thus perfect.

9/22/13. Last night a page was issued for a missing-person search this morning, starting at 7. By the time I responded, the time had been changed to 5. But I'd already texted the incident commander a yes, so 5 it was. Sigh. Two days in a row of very early risings (I tend not to sleep well when an early alarm is set) had me feeling exhausted--and it didn't help that Miranda and her dog Marcy and I ended up walking over ten miles through riverine shrubbery. We found no clues of the missing person, a 71-year-old Alzheimer's patient who went missing three days ago. When we got back to the command post, I managed to sneak in a couple of naps--and a Starbucks run helped as well. But still: I think tonight I will sleep soundly (no alarm tomorrow!).
this is a local flyer being distributed regarding the disappearance of a little girl. i'm posting it everywhere and anywhere in the hopes that someone somewhere might recognise her. If you pray, please pray that she is found SAFE and returned home very soon.
Baxter was having a bit o' trouble pooping, so we got an x-ray for him. Lo and behold what lies in his stomach! See it bigger!. Apparently the staple actually had nothing to do with his pooping problem (you can see the inflamed digestive tract here as the darkness).
A week later we got another x-ray done to see if the staple had passed. Good news is, it did! Bad news is, he now had what appeared to be steel wool fragments lighting up his insides from his stomach all the way through to the colon. Good news again is that it was just some wiring and it was all going to pass. See? A Good News Sandwich.
