If you come across a friendly cuckoo who loves mealworms and answers to Colin, then please let him know a couple of hundred photographers are missing him.
So far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're just time away
Long ago I reached for you and there you stood
Holding you again could only do me good
Oh, how I wish I could
But you're so far away
One more song about moving along the highway
Can't say much of anything that's new
If I could only work this life out my way
I'd rather spend it being close to you
But you're so far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're so far away
Yeah, you're so far away
Traveling around sure gets me down and lonely
Nothing else to do but close my mind
I sure hope the road don't come to own me
There's so many dreams I've yet to find
But you're so far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
And it doesn't help to know you're so far away
Yeah, you're so far away
Hey, you're so far away
To me, this is the best season to visit Provence….Unfortunately, I can’t go there this year…But, every night, when I lay down on my bed, I smell it thanks to the Lavender Pillow that I’ve got from one of the smallest villages in Provence…. To the memory of my lovely Provence, I initiated a new photo series: Missing Provence. Within that project, every day I will share a photo that I took from my previous trips….to send my regards and love there…to nice people embellishing everything, to lavender soul and to its magic… Here is the 10th one… I miss you Provence… BeNowMeHere, Provence, France, 2015 via 500px bit.ly/29zuhSj

The "missing link" obviously is the E string of my violin. It's still attached to its peg, and I don't remember when the string tore. I'm actually afraid of taking up playing again because I'm sure the sound I create won't exactly be pleasant after all those years of inactivity... Well, maybe one day I'll overcome my "fear of violin scratching" ;)
I was a bit at a loss for what to photograph for the "Music" theme because I had already photographed parts of my violin for several MM themes before. And since I also had little time last week, it had to be something quick, but I still tried this and that. Of the shots taken from my violin's bridge, this was the nicest. The lint in the empty spot where the E string should be has a nice shape, so it stayed ;)
It's a single shot taken with the Laowa macro lens. The single light source was bright sunshine from the window. I had hoped for more bokeh in the strings (and the stacking images I tried later with the Olympus 60 mm had more bokeh), but this was the most harmonious image of the bunch, and I also liked the colours.
HMM, Everyone! I'm very busy today and will catch up with you later tonight!
When we had all the snow and the low cloud and the cold weather I craved the sun, now we have some sun I miss the snow - I am so fickle! So long January...
My favorite Tibet restaurant has a Stupa on the patio, made from dozens of old irons. Last week I sat outside and immediately noticed the huge empty space...the Stupa was gone. It appears that, after years, the artist decided to try and sell it. Good luck to him. At least I have the photograph.
Mountains, sun, blue sky, skis and snow and fresh corduroy ... there is so much to LOVE in this photo. Summer here in NZ though now - a few more months before we can do THIS again here. Lovely to revisit these memories though :-)

If you're born and raised on the beaches of California...does that mean you're always a Cali girl? I find myself thinking and dreaming about being there again. 💕
