A traditional hard soap made from vegetable oils that has been produced around Marseille, France, for about 600 years. Traditionally, the soap is made by mixing sea water from the Mediterranean Sea, olive oil, and the alkaline ash from sea plants.

Market at Le Bugue - in November 1319, the King of France, Philippe Le Long, ordered by deed that the market be perpetually held on Tuesday. This act is still presently in force.

Le Bugue - located on the banks of the Vézère River a few kilometers before the confluence of the Vézère with the Dordogne River at Limeuil. It's inhabited since prehistoric times.
