Scriptures Overcome Contention

 

This morning I was wondering up with fighting children. I felt like going out there and getting mad at everyone for fighting, but the spirit had a different plan. I found myself rallying the children together for scripture study instead. It was amazing, because I just said whoever wants to do scripture study, come on, and they all came. Ashlyn had found a few scriptures she wanted to make quotes out of and so I thought it would be fun to do some scripture study and then make a few quotes from them. The below quotes are the fruits of our labors, and I am pleased to say that as we studied there was very little contention and a very peaceful feeling prevailed. Today was a testament to how the study of scriptures can overcome contention and invite the Spirit into the home.
