Reading A Voice of Warning / Or, an introduction to the faith and doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Voice Dream. What an amazing book. I loved this quote from it, "Thus, faith comes by hearing, and knowledge by obeying." The act of obeying is so powerful. Think of it in terms of working out. I could have all the faith in the world that if I worked out everyday my muscles would get stronger, and I could have that faith till doomsday with no results, untill I take action and obey and then my faith is no longer, because knowledge has replaced it through my obedience. Alma put it this way:

21 And now as I said concerning faith--faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.
