Under angry skies, a westbound BNSF coal train is at Benteen, Montana, as some final beams of sun shine through late on the afternoon of June 14, 2014. This location on BNSF’s Big Horn Subdivision is not far from where George Armstrong Custer made his last stand during the Battle of Little Bighorn.

The cool green shade over Leigh Brook as it babbles through the trees.
I'm not sure what kind of birds these juveniles are, seen at the Detroit Zoo last month, but the little one here seemed mighty feisty and was picking lots of fights.

The building in this shot is Ossians Hall a Folly at the Hermitage in Perthshire. The trees are just starting to turn there now, in another couple of weeks it will be spectacular but unfortunately I am away (on another holiday) so will miss this.
I used a polariser on this just to cut the reflections on the rocks and the leaves, this and an ND grad helped to take the exposure time down to 1 second which was just enough to keep some structure in the water, while smoothing it out.

No, these are not the skeletonized remains of some cooling tower - this is actually a piece of art, named "Mae West", after the actress.
The 52 m tall sculpture designed by Rita McBride was built from Oct. 2010 to Jan. 2011, the material is CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer).
In the right background is the 113.7 m tall HVB Tower, one of the better looking modern buildings in Munich, completed already in 1981.

I see you falling
Can you find me space
Inside your bleeding heart?
