The Neckarfront is one of the most famous places and a heritage tourist attraction in Tübingen, Germany. It is an ensemble of multi-storey, gabled residential buildings on the Neckar river between the Eberhard Brigde over the river, and upriver the characteristic sight Hölderlinturm with the punt boat pier. This the southern side the houses share with the same still partially existing city wall. Overall the historic scenery above the Neckar river and the tower of the collegiate Church on top, behind the buildings are Neckargasse and Bursagasse. The address 16 Bursagasse is the Tübingen Room Theater "Zimmertheater Tübingen".
Upriver the Neckarfront is in direct sight as well as Alte Burse, Tübinger Stift and a row of inline houses along the Neckarhalde. It is dominated by Castle Hohentübingen.
Between Eberhardsbrücke and Hölderlinturm a pedestrian walk is along the Neckar front, beside a mighty wall. The walls summit is during summer a popular place for students.
The best view of the Neckarfront provides the Eberhard Bridge and the Platanenallee on the Neckarinsel directly opposing the river.
From Ludolf of Lüdinghausen 1406 established Borgmühle was formerly a building belonging to the castle Lüdinghausen. At that time for the Borgmühle own new Steverarm had to be dug out.
After the death of the last knight of Lüdinghausen, in 1443 the mill, just as the castle, to the bishop of Münster and later reached to the chapter. From the renewal of the mill in 1711 the stone inscription about the entrance testifies. Today the mill offers an optically wonderful picture in the heart of the town.
The current mill wheel comes from 1988 and was donated by the home association.

A not so common clear blue sky in Greenland, blue ice and blue water with a cumulus type iceberg remnant make for a postcard vista.

Trondheim, Norway was founded by the Vikings in the 10th century. It is one of the most historically significant cities in Norway. The city center is Bakklandet, which has been beautifully preserved since it was first settled in the early 17th century.
The colorful wharves of Bakklandet have a long history as storage facilities for cargo that was brought in by ships from all over Europe. They were also used as defensive positions during enemy attacks. The oldest wharves were built around 1700 on the banks of the River Nidelva. Some were lost in fires but a few of the original wooden buildings remain today. Many of these historic structures have been converted to private homes.
Loch Brandy is a classic mountain corrie above Glen Clova on the southside of the Cairngorms National Park. I wanted to get the sun on the corrie side so I had to set off up the hills at 6 this morning to get there im time for the sunrise.
