A view into the eastern choir of the Cathedral of Augsburg (Hoher Dom Mariä Heimsuchung).

Going through my catalogue, I couldn't resist another shot from my Georgia and Armenia trip. Mount Kasbag (Kezbhag, Kezbaghi, varaint spellings) is not quite in shot here, but this just shows that the Caucasus are a superb range of Mountains. Here they back onto the border with Russia. Gergeti, a hugely important place for Georgian culture is at an altitude of 2170 metres (7120 feet). This image was take from a similar altitude on the other side of the valley, above Stephantsminda.

Le château a probablement été reconstruit sur les fondations romaines au Moyen Âge, autour du XIe siècle, lorsque le territoire était gouverné par la République de Venise et a été utilisé comme résidence par les hauts magistrats de Venise. Aujourd'hui une propriété privée.
The castle was probably rebuilt on Roman foundations in the Middle Ages, around the 11th century, when the territory was ruled by the Republic of Venice and was used as a residence by the high magistrates of Venice. Today a private property.

Das dem Heiligen Pankratius geweihte Stift Backnang war ein reguliertes Augustiner-Chorherrenstift.
Es wurde vor 1116 von Hermann II., Markgraf von Verona und Baden, und seiner Frau Judith an der Backnanger Kirche gegründet. 1116 bestätigte Papst Paschalis I. die Gründung. Bereits 1123 musste das Kloster mit Hilfe von Augustinern aus dem Kloster Marbach im Elsass erneuert werden.
St. Pankratius war von 1123 bis 1243 Grablege der mit den Zähringern verwandten Markgrafen von Baden. Durch diese Bedeutung gewann das Kloster rasch an Reichtum und Einfluss.

There was a lot of snowfall in the Black Forest mountains
and ski season is already open...
This image is from my Archives, taken in the Glottertal
valley.
It is always nice if the sun rays break through the fog,
enchanting the winter world.

This little waterfall is in Maspie Den just outside the picturesque village of Falkland in Fife, Scotland.
This is a 6 minute exposure with a Lee Big Stopper as it was pretty dark in there any way, but not dark enough to give the water the soft quality that I wanted.
Autumn at Grünsee on the small Fanesalpe. For a short time the sun came out between the clouds, so that the larches began to shine.
Herbst am Grünsee auf der kleinen Fanesalpe. Für kurze Zeit kam die Sonne zwischen den Wolken hervor, so dass die Lärchen zu leuchten begannen.
