While I was driving home, as a passenger, I have made this photo of the lightning. The idea worked with the combination of technique, patience and luck. Almost at the end this spectacle showed up! The yellow and red lights is te traffic.

Toruń is one of most attractive and historic towns in Poland.
It is famous for being the birthplace ( in 1474 ) of the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus whose epochal book, De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium is universally regarded as the starting point of modern astronomy.
In 1997 the old medieval quarter of Toruń comprising the Old Town ( 1233 ), the New Town ( 1264 ) and the Teutonic Knights Castle ( mid 13th c. ) was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for having preserved almost intact its original medieval street layout. Toruń is full of Gothic monuments of architecture, all built of brick, such as the Town Hall, The Leaning Tower, numerous churches and many burgher houses around the central market square and the surrounding streets.
If you ever are in Gdańsk on the coast, I recommend driving down to Toruń - it's only 2hrs away on the motorway - the place has a great artistic atmosphere and a lively cafe scene.

Redstarts are immediately identifiable by their bright orange-red tails, which they often quiver. Breeding males look smart, with slate grey upper parts, black faces and wings and an orange rump and chest. Females and young are duller. Redstarts 'bob' in a very robin-like manner, but spend little time at ground level. It is included on the Amber List of species with unfavourable conservation status in Europe where it is declining. The harbour of Greifswald on the river Ryck is mainly used as a Museumshafen (museum harbour) and one of the attractions of Greifswald.

By far the most memorable moment of our recent trip. As the young bull from my last post made his way down to the lake, the "teenaged" cow came up to greet him. They sniffed noses for a while and then both made their way down to the lake. Young love? The romantic in me likes to think so.

Der von Tempeln bestandene Bereich erstreckt sich über ca. 36 km² in einer versteppten Landschaft und bildet eine der größten archäologischen Stätten Südostasiens. Bagan liegt in der heutigen Mandalay-Division, 155 km südwestlich der Stadt Mandalay am Ostufer des Irrawaddy, auf halbem Weg zwischen dessen Quelle und der Mündung in den Indischen Ozean und ist heute eines der wichtigsten touristischsten Ziele in Myanmar.

Bagan is located in what is now the Mandalay Division, 155 km southwest of the city of Mandalay on the east bank of the Irrawaddy, halfway between its source and its mouth in the Indian Ocean and is now one of the most important tourist destinations in Myanmar.

Finchale Priory (pronounced finkle) was a 13th century Benedictine priory, the remains are sited by the River Wear, four miles from Durham
The very extensive remains of a 13th century priory, founded on the site of a retired pirate's hermitage.
Part of it later served as a holiday retreat for the monks of Durham Cathedral. Beautifully sited by the River Wear with delightful riverside walks nearby.

Binghamton is a city in, and the county seat of, Broome County, New York, United States.[5] It lies in the state's Southern Tier region near the Pennsylvania border, in a bowl-shaped valley at the confluence of the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers.
