West Lulworth Country Trail leading back down to Lulworth village and Lulworth Cove, Dorset, England, situated on the English Channel. Taken on our walk back from Durdle Door and Man O' War Bay.

The large sloping field at the bottom is the car park.

HFF everyone :)

This is the concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavik. It was opened in 2011.

I've read a few different stories about its design, but I like the one that says it is meant to look like the scales of a fish. In this shot it looks like some of the lights are out in the windows, it is actulaly just the angle the light has been caught at, just like the scales of a fish.

The Highlight Towers are twin office towers located in the the Parkstadt Schwabing area of Munich. With a height of 126m resp. 113m they belong to the tallest buildings in Munich.

The towers are connected by two glass/steel bridges, a double bridge at the 9th/10th floor and a single bridge at the 20th floor. Design by Murphy/Jahn (Chicago, USA).

Oceanside in southern California is known for palm-dotted Harbor Beach and Oceanside Harbor, with its marina and shops. To the south, the long Oceanside Pier juts into the Pacific Ocean. The California Surf Museum is also located there. It traces the sport's history with a surfboard collection and exhibits on famous surfers.

I found this little waterfall on the website ctwaterfalls.com. Since where I live in N Indiana is so flat, there really isn't much in the way of waterfalls to photograph, so visiting Connecticut gives me the chance to indulge in one of my favorite subjects to photograph. On this morning, however, I forgot my tripod! So, I used my sweatshirt instead to prop my camera on for this shot. And despite the title, no showers were taken by me at this location.

View from the mountain Stamnesfjellet.

As the sun set over the city, the river lights really came into their own. HFF!!!

A Great Blue Heron brings in another stick for the nest, while its mate keeps watch. Seen at Kensington Metropark, near Milford, Michigan.

The building in this shot is Ossians Hall a Folly at the Hermitage in Perthshire. The trees are just starting to turn there now, in another couple of weeks it will be spectacular but unfortunately I am away (on another holiday) so will miss this.

I used a polariser on this just to cut the reflections on the rocks and the leaves, this and an ND grad helped to take the exposure time down to 1 second which was just enough to keep some structure in the water, while smoothing it out.

I'm not sure what kind of birds these juveniles are, seen at the Detroit Zoo last month, but the little one here seemed mighty feisty and was picking lots of fights.

Same day, boats from different sides of Croatia

No, these are not the skeletonized remains of some cooling tower - this is actually a piece of art, named "Mae West", after the actress.

The 52 m tall sculpture designed by Rita McBride was built from Oct. 2010 to Jan. 2011, the material is CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer).

In the right background is the 113.7 m tall HVB Tower, one of the better looking modern buildings in Munich, completed already in 1981.

The western facade tower of this building, which is the seat of the 2nd administrative tier of the government of Upper Bavaria.

The building was originally built from 1856 to 1864 by Friedrich Bürklein, but mostly destroyed by an allied bomb raid in 1944.

The building was reconstructed after the war, whereby the interior was completely new arranged. This reconstruction was completed in 1953. The 180 m long representative terracotta facade was again restored in 2008, during these works about 60,000 terracotta stones were replaced and the structural anchoring was renewed.

The Innerdalen valley has been called the most beautiful mountain valley in Norway. No vehicular traffic, the sound of waterfalls and lakes surrounded by majestic mountains - here you can truly find peace.

Innerdalstårnet is a 1,452-metre (4,764 ft) tall mountain, also known as the Matterhorn of Norway for its characteristic pyramidal shape. The summit can be reached with some scrambling, and the mountain is a very popular destination for rock climbing (and for photographers).

My impression: a magical place!

Have a nice new week

Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.
