The northern side wing of the New Schleißheim Palace as seen from the west.
The New Schleißheim Palace was built 1701-1704 by Enrico Zuccalli for the Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel, who expected to become emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and therefore felt the need for a representative new residence.
Unfortunately Maximilian II Emanuel never became the emperor...
ℹ️ In case you wonder how an over 300 years old building can be called "New Palace", here is the nearly 400-year old "Old Palace", which is located just west of the New Palace.

Detail of the Magdalenenklause, a hermitage, designed as an artificial ruin, so these cracks are intentional and part of the design. Located in the Nymphenburg Palace Park.
The purpose of the building was to serve as a memento mori for the Elector (Kurfürst) Max Emanuel - he was supposed to visit the building and contemplate the transience of being alive and a ruler.
Unfortunately Max Emanuel did not live long enough to see the building completed - sic transit gloria...

I found this little waterfall on the website ctwaterfalls.com. Since where I live in N Indiana is so flat, there really isn't much in the way of waterfalls to photograph, so visiting Connecticut gives me the chance to indulge in one of my favorite subjects to photograph. On this morning, however, I forgot my tripod! So, I used my sweatshirt instead to prop my camera on for this shot. And despite the title, no showers were taken by me at this location.

The building in this shot is Ossians Hall a Folly at the Hermitage in Perthshire. The trees are just starting to turn there now, in another couple of weeks it will be spectacular but unfortunately I am away (on another holiday) so will miss this.
I used a polariser on this just to cut the reflections on the rocks and the leaves, this and an ND grad helped to take the exposure time down to 1 second which was just enough to keep some structure in the water, while smoothing it out.

Autumn is an amazing time of year, colours seams so playful and nice. Ingenious way to prepare for a winter sleep.
Every day I walk past this site, just couldn't resist the temptation to frame it ;)

Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.

A closeup of an old house in Bruges.
"Bruges became important due to the tidal inlet that was crucial to local commerce. This inlet was then known as the "Golden Inlet". Bruges received its city charter on 27 July 1128, and new walls and canals were built. In 1089 Bruges became the capital of the County of Flanders."
An image taken of a rewilding scheme in the village of Marton. No Ai used just black diffusing filters in front of the lens and DXO textures n filters to create a border around the image! But according to DSLR Auto Focus group admins ‘thats excessive processing’ Ho hum Guess I will just have to find groups that welcome a little bit of creativity!
