A 5am alarm clock followed by a quick coffee and bite to eat then in the car for the 10min drive to the Rhyd Ddu Path, the forecast was promising with reports of no wind and rain and mist in the valleys.
I set off at 6am and headed for the summit of Yr Aran in complete darkness giving myself plenty of time to be their for first light, there was plenty of cloud cover on route with the odd star making an apperance every now and then, I knew that is was going to go either way come sunrise.
The sunrise colours did'nt come to fruition but the fog rolling in made up for that, I spent around 2hours in total taking in the views great place to be.

Taken a few weeks back when the heather was still around on the moors.
Hope everyone enjoys a lovely weekend.

The soft beams of light seem so perfect for this remote paradise. Life slows to a crawl and one doesn't seem to have a care in the world. The Seychelles are indeed remote and La Digue where this was taken is even further away from the rest of the world.
I don't want you to get too bored with Venice or Africa and the Indian Ocean so I will continue to mix them up.

The surf of San Francisco Bay churns around the rocky shoreline at historic Fort Point, as seen from the pedestrian walkway on the Golden Gate Bridge.
The morning marine layer slowly lifts, revealing a scene abundant in bird and marine life as the Pigeon Point Lighthouse quietly surveys the action. It's been years since this old lighthouse has leant it's beams to guide the sailors home. But it's none-the-less for it's inactivity.

I was once again down at Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial park this morning. I met another Flickr photographer - Bill Settle. We spent some time together shooting around the park.

There is nothing in the world quite like the Grand Canal. Imagine slowly being rowed along the Canal to gaze at the historical splendor and beauty of Venice. It is a memory of a lifetime.
