The road crosses the desert under a stunning sky full of clouds and light streaks on the land. In the American deserts is easy to view this kind of spectacular scenarios, and it is not possible to get bored photographing them.

Amsterdam, Noord – Voormalig kraanspoor; langs deze 270 meter lange constructie van gewapend beton werden vorige eeuw mammoettankers van de Nederlandse Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM) afgebouwd. Architect Trude Hooykaas redde het eind jaren negentig van de sloop, met haar ontwerp voor het transparante gebouw dat nu drie meter boven het oorspronkelijke Kraanspoor lijkt te zweven.
AMSTERDAM, Noord – former craineway; along the 270 metres long construction of reinforced concrete were last century supertankers of the Dutch dock and shipbuilding company (NDSM) phased out. Architect Trude Hooykaas saved the late nineties of the demolition, with her design for the transparent building that now three metres above the original craineway seems to float.

The capture of a flaring ray sunset from Veterans Bridge. I was actually jogging on Market Street Bridge (behind Walnut in the foreground) and saw how the sun's rays were flaring this particular evening....so I sprinted the mile (or so) to catch it setting from said vantage point....JUST made it!
This was the first time I had driven down to the beach in Long Beach, Washington state. The town, itself, is a lot of fun...a lot of fun little shops and restaurants...a very nice place to spend an afternoon. Then we drove down to the actual beach at sunset (one of my favorite things to do!) I love how there were several layers of land and sea...pretty cool! Hope you enjoy!

The Aero Car was designed by a Spanish engineer, Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in operation since 1916. The cable car is suspended from six sturdy cables and offers a wonderful view of the Niagara Whirlpool which is formed at the end of the rapids where the gorge turns abruptly counterclockwise, and the river escapes through the narrowest channel in the gorge.
The outlet of the Köglmühlbach on the north side of Von-der-Tann-Straße. From here on this creek is called Schwabinger Bach and runs through the English Garden.

La iglesia de Santa María La Mayor de Villacantid constituye un destacado ejemplo de arquitectura religiosa de estilo románico en el sur de Cantabria. el estilo de los templos de Cervatos, Elines y Retortillo, además recibe la influencia del románico del norte de la provincia de Palencia.
Es un extraño ejemplar, un templo "contorsionista", que se ha doblado sobre si hasta unir la portada con el ábside. Este extraño aspecto, es producto de las reformas sufridas en el s.XVII.
Parece que, avanzado el s.XIII, se eliminó la nave única, románica, y en su lugar se proyectaron tres naves, aunque se conservó la cabecera. Se alzó la nave norte, pero la sur quedó inconclusa, hasta que al comienzo del s.XVII se reformó la nave del evangelio y se añadió la parte inacabada de la epístola, en cuyo muro de levante se recolocó, pegada al ábside, la portada románica que antes estaba al costado meridional.
El resultado es un ejemplar único.
Der Toblacher See ist ein kleiner, ursprünglich zerklüfteter Alpensee, der im Höhlensteintal in 1259 m Höhe in der Südtiroler Gemeinde Toblach liegt.

There 's nothing like cool temperatures and fresh air to raise the spirits. during my forays to the Alabama Hills the temperature can get up into the 100's and when they do, this is where I seek refuge. At around 9000 ft in elevation the difference in temperature is about 15 degrees and there nothing better the a fine mist that floats away from the falls right onto your weary soul.

Hike on Kitzsteinhorn, starting from Alpincenter (2450 m) I passed the Krefelder Hütte and came along this pond. I couldn't find out the name, it seems it is nameless.
The Kitzsteinhorn is a mountain in the main chain of the Alps in the district of Kaprun, Salzburg, Austria. The Kitzsteinhorn is part of the Hohe Tauern range in the eastern Alps and reaches a height of 3,203 m (10,509 ft) above sea level. It was first climbed in 1828 by Johann Entacher.
The summit can be reached using the Kaprun Gletscherbahnen (Glacier Railways), from the valley station at 911 m (2,989 ft). For a long time, this was the highest cable car pylon in the world, being 113.6 m (373 ft) tall with a diameter of 2.2 m (7 ft 3 in). There is a viewing platform on the roof of the station, at 3,035 m (9,957 ft) above sea level.
The cable car was opened in 1965, and opened up the Schmiedingerkees and Maurerkees glaciers, making it Austria's first glacier ski slope. An underground funicular railway was opened in 1974, after two and a half years of building works to create the 3,295-metre (10,810 ft) long tunnel, to run in parallel with the cable car, for greater capacity.
This funicular was the location of the Kaprun disaster in which 155 people died on 11 November 2000. To replace the funicular, GletscherjetI (Glacier Jet I), a 24-person funitel, was brought into service on 23 December 2001. GletscherjetII, a gondola lift, followed in the next year, opening on 19 October 2002. (Wikipedia)
