In the harsh zombie-infested toxic waste-filled wasteland of what used to be tons of wonderful cities, the survivors need more than just weapons and leather clothing. They'll need walker-mechs with protective cages made out of leftover leftover scrap metal by some of the genius survivors.

New Jersey Zombie Walk - 2015
ASBURY PARK — The owner of a local bar said he will be purchasing the rights to the New Jersey Zombie Walk, a record-setting annual event whose founder announced last month he would be cancelling it due to spiraling costs.
The Asbury Park Sun reported that John McGillion, who runs Johnny Mac's, said the sale would be wrapped up by the end of the week. The annual event will also continue to maintain its relationship with the Chamber of Commerce, McGillion said.
Other aspects will possibly stay the same too, including the involvement of Jason Meehan, who first organized the walk in 2007 before announcing in August that the macabre march had become a victim of its own popularity. On two occasions, in 2010 and 2013, the event broke the Guinness record for "largest gathering of zombies." Two years ago nearly 10,000 faux undead turned up for the pre-Halloween warmup.
But increasing attendance brought with it rising costs, Meehan said last month, until the event became too expensive to run without "turning it into something more akin to a ticketed convention or festival."
The annual Melbourne Zombie Walk is an event which is raising funds and awareness for the Brain Foundation. My daughter had a blast pretending to be a child zombie
The walker mech driver used to be a construction worker until the apocalypse came. He was able to craft some armor out of some scrap metal, and found a pretty-good pistol to fend of zombies.

Last year, The New Jersey Zombie Walk shattered records, proving to the world that the Jersey Shore lives. We showed what it really means to be strong and we are a community built of many amazing people…or should we say Zombies? Are you ready to stumble the streets of Asbury Park in the name of a Zombie’s favorite thing … BRAINS?
This year it’s Zombies vs. Brain Cancer! To help us fight the war against brain cancer we are calling on the most powerful army we know, the undead. The 2014 New Jersey Zombie Walk will kick off “GREY MATTERS,” a campaign that spreads awareness about brain cancer.
This year’s campaign will benefit Camp Jinka, a free summer program for children and teenagers whose lives have been impacted by brain cancer. This amazing retreat encourages a connection with others who are experiencing similar life altering events. All the kids of Camp Jinka are residents of New Jersey and each camper brings with them a different story. Some are fighting a brain tumor themselves, others are trying to help a parent through treatment, some are survivors, but all of them are strong fighters!

Single Speedlite 430EX II flash is off camera on a stand to the camera left. Very far back. Snoot from red construction paper and 2 layers of red gauze draped over it. Really reduced the effect of the flash. There is red flash light in the back window and a standard flashlight hand-held on the gingerbread man. Triggered via radio built into the Canon t4i.

when I'm sick I like to make myself look even worse, now I thought about scaring people with the idea of me changing into zombie :D

So, this is the Cave Zombie from Plants Vs. Zombies, but...
One of the biggest subway stations in San Francisco is the one at Powell St. It connects to the mArket St. square, which includes the Flood Building, the cable car turnaround, and a five-storey mall. It's also a hub for street performers, Jehovah's Witnesses, and homeless people. For about half of the year, I worked in the Flood Building, and thus went through that station every day. One of the homeless regulars there is an older Asian man, possibly Tibetan (people who recognize him tend to say Tibetan - it may be the facial features, who knows) with shaggy hair, a wispy beard, and really obvious mental problems. He may or may not understand English, or any real language, but he constantly says, "Ai!" It's not a chant, more like a tic, or perhaps he's trying to communicate but has severe aphasia. But when he's around, you can hear, "Ai! Ai! Ai! Ai!" He begs for food, wandering around with his slow, unsteady shuffle, his hands half-reaching out for a tiny morsel from the nearby Starbucks, or whatever else is there. He keeps a reasonable distance, but you can see it in his face - he may not be entirely there, but he is aware eough to know that he's suffering. It breaks my heart every time I see him, because what can I do? I couldn't offer him work even if I owned a business. I couldn't call the police, who would never help him. I could try to contact a charity, but could they find him? I've gotten him food a few times, and he smiled as he said, "Ai! Ai! Ai!" But it's small comfort, and small relief. Sometimes life is heartbreaking because of your helplessness.
And the thing is, this figure looks exactly like a cartoon version of him. Same shaggy hair, same little beard, same not-really mustache, same look in is eyes, even the same missing teeth. The similarity is so spot-on that it's uncanny, and thus this figure is a reminder that this world is sick with sin and pain and misery. "Life isn't fair."
I wasn't able to get up to BrickCon this year, but after seeing the Zombie Apocafest display prize category of "Best Apocafied Official Set" I could not resist turning the 5972 Space Truck Getaway official set into a wheeled beast-of-a cargo truck.
When the zombie apocalypse hit, Snake (no, not Pliskin) the truck driver figured cargo would still have to get from-A-to-B if the defenses were to hold against the hoard. Why not jack-up his own truck for that very purpose?!?!
Features include:
Zombie-skewering spikes (as per original)
Hoard-decimating plow (as per original)
Battle damage and graffiti (as per original)
Yellow freight container (as per original)
Of course, flame-shooting stacks (kinda like the original...in a way...)
And many others, see the notes in other images
Snake the driver is of course a combobulation of the two characters from the set.
See other angles in the set here, and the video of the suspension working here.
I attempted to use as many of the original parts from the set as I could, while some others were necessary.
