Possible use for the leftover half square triangle blocks from my Basket Head blocks

The other quilt top. This one is a nicer pattern, but there's too much damage to it for me to fix, I think.

I was asked to make some last minute simple cupcakes, anything at all as long as it had sprinkles !!

I have been wanting to make these ZigZag iced ones I have seen on a few flickr sites...I will give credit for my Inspiration to Louise( swissy missy) since her's were the first ones I noticed..

These are French Vanilla with a hint of Raspberry flavor in the buttercream ..

The picture is not so clear but I love it anyway!

I had to post just one more picture from my Zigzag Mtn. Hike. If you look carefully you might even see the trail that winds its way through the bear grass and rhododendron.

See the big garden.

The Zigzagged pattern by Empty Bobbin includes directions for making this cute pieced backing.

"The Chiostro dei Benedettini (Benedictines' cloister) behind the Duomo of Monreale is a masterpiece of 12th century art with Arab-Norman arches borne by 228 twin columns (four on each corner). All columns have carved Romanesque capitals, of which very few are alike. They are the work of five master craftsmen, assisted by several apprentices. Many of the columns are also decorated with Arab style diaper work â decorative treatment of a surface with a repeat pattern of squares (chequers), rectangles, or lozenges; some other columns are adorned with carved reliefs.

The capitals depict biblical scenes and allegories, mythological scenes, quasi-heraldic elements, Arab warriors and Norman knights, as well as fauna and foliage motifs. Even the Classical subjects betray a certain inventiveness: the acanthus leaves of the Corinthian capitals, for example, appear ruffled by the wind."

Yesterday I hopped on my bike and cycled the Culture Weekend route : 10 locations in and around my town opened their doors to local artists and public. The 20km route leads you past sculptures, photographs, paintings, music, dance, offering a chance to speak to the artists and visit places you otherwise had no reason to go :)

I spent more time enjoying the art than taking photo's, but I just couldn't resist these shiny zigzags!

Sorry I missed the guided tour.......It's the inside of a huge polished kettle at our local brewery Klein Duimpje.

I finished my Zigzag Run pattern made up in Scrumptious by Bonnie & Camille. I love how it looks! In this light the colours were quite vibrant, in other lights they're soft... such lovely fabrics.

Hands-on training
