Hands-on training

Zigzag quilt top based on a tutorial by Purl Bee (http://www.purlbee.com/zig-zag-quilt/). I've used vintage sheeting in shades of yellow and brown.
Ground found algorithmically. Added thicker gimp thread to emphasize zig-zag. Experimented with cloth and whole stitch.
A zig-zag, double cut string oak stair with a frameless, toughened and laminated glass balustrade.
All the fixings and construction parts have been hidden beneath secret panels to give a clean and uncluttered look.
Finished! Three strands of tube beads with Ikat cane detailing - shades of teal/aqua.
Polymer Clay, no glaze, no varnish, just handsanded and polished.
2014 Weekly Alphabet Challenge, Week 26, Z is for Zigzag
It may not be obvious at first sight but there's a double zigzag/sawtooth pattern going on here. The horizontal sawtooth silhouette of the roofs facing the back of the Rotterdam Central Station and the vertical sawtooth pattern of the glass wall division of the Central Station itself. Seen and taken from the train just before departure.
It gets dark very late these days. As you can see, it was already 7.20 PM. If it was in a season where it would get dark early, I could have had more vehicles still plying on this road and resultantly, the light trail would have been much much brighter, like the one that inspired me to click this pic - www.flickr.com/photos/fish_at_taipei/52711828 7.

I visited Trillium Lake for a beautiful sunrise with my friend John Pedersen. After that we headed over to Little Zigzag falls. It was my first time there and I loved it! Very easy hike in there.
The spray off the falls was hard to deal with but John gave some great advice to help me. Thanks John!
