Un ejercicio con esta nueva adquisisción regalo de un gran amigo, un poco difÃcil de trabajar, pero con muy buenos resultados.
Couple of pix from today. First two are of an abandoned homeplace on Lee Avenue Extension south of Jonesboro. The overgrown lawn is rapidly being taken over by Zig-zag Spiderworts. Last year I stopped and took some shots of these volunteers closeup...this year the spectacle is from the roadside as you drive by The splash of color is almost enough to tempt me to sneak into the urban jungle and "rescue" a few of those lovely plants for my own backyard jungle.
7 Days of Shooting ... Wk12 ... Zig Zag ... Still life Sunday
Sorry I've missed a few weeks what with holidays and catching up. Hope I can keep up this week!
Due to the wild weather, the Zig Zag Railways timetable was thrown off before the first empty train had made it to Clarence. A number of trees had fallen down, some of them foul of the line, and these had to be removed before the empty cars could move from Top Points to Clarence. This meant that the 1000 train did not run, as the 1100 train was to be the ceremony train, hauled by AC16. This shot shows the hi-rail that ran ahead of the delayed empty train hauled by 1049, to ensure that the remainder of the line through to Clarence was clear.
To celebrate the opening of the "ten tunnels" diversion that rendered the Lithgow Zig Zag obsolete, Zig Zag Railway ran two steam trains on Saturday the 16th of October. One was hauled by DD17 1049, with the other hauled by AC16 218.
May be in Surrey, but this stop's served by a London bus. And this stop must have one of the best locations ever - Zig Zag Road.
Mind you, about a mile or so away is a bus stop marked "North Downs Way"...

This is the zig-zag bridge out on the Japanese Garden islands. It's rare to be free of footprints in the fresh snow. Chicago Botanic Garden Jan 25, 2014 L1180607.dng
Wasn't sure if I was going to like that zig zag background stamp but I am lovin' it! This was a simple quick valentine. The hearts were stamped in versamark and clear embossed.
A great all-over filler - tutorial here: www.13spools.com/2014/11/ffmqal-zig-zag-feathers-tutorial...
Feel the Reebok Zig Fuel shoe with the energy boost. Zig Fuel, the first ZigTech shoe built for running, allows key leg muscles to do less, so you can do more. Its patented sole technology maximizes energy return for a soft and springy ride.

it's pieced! I used different spoonflower fabrics that I have designed to create this fun zig zag quilt top.

I created a zig zag quilt using solely fabrics of my design from spoonflower Barb Raisbeck of Quits by Barb did an incredible job of quilting it - each zig zag is a different design and different colored thread is used throughout.
It took me forever to figure out what I was going to make for this challenge. I sketched for 2 days and couldn't come up with anything I liked. Then this design popped in my head so I went with it. It's an 18" x 40" table runner. My lovely teenage daughter helped with the name...Zig Zagalicious. I currently live in north Texas but I'm ready to move!
