the connection of this ball is just like the Xmas Ball Ver 2. i find it as a very efficient connection with many variations. it can be inside-outed, having a color change effect, tommorow i will post the inside out version.
A couple of ex QR rail motors cross one of the massive stone viaducts on the Zig-Zag Tourist railway near Lithgow NSW. Taken in better days when the trains were still running.
I like the lines in this split rail fence in the Mariposa Grove, Yosemite National Park.

The line to Barkly East in South Africa was well known for it's 'zig-zags' as a means of gaining (or losing) maximum height using minimum space. A close up on the side of the building showing the detail of the aluminum panels that cover the exterior. It's interesting that from far away the building looks like it's covered in one continuous panel of aluminum but upon further examination close up, you notice that they are actually panels off-set from each other. It creates a very striking effect close up with the steel bands that fill all the gaps.

The day started on Polihale Beach, we then drove to the Waimea Canyon and the Kalalau Lookout. (Both MUST SEES if you're ever in Kauai.) Later, Matthew and I enjoyed an awesome drive down this 5000+ ft. mountain on a road that is worthy of a car commercial. The day ended with a steak dinner and a great night at a wonderful little inn in Kalaheo.

Portland, Or has one of the great Japanese gardens in the US. It was designed by Takuma Tono beginning in 1963, and opened in 1967. It's all quite beautiful, even in (too) early spring.
