The automotive industry is currently embarking on a reflective journey where the ultimate goals are carbon neutrality and consumer electric vehicle (EV) education. Every manufacturer is now perpetuating this theme, from Rolls-Royce to Toyota, which launched its first electric RAV4 back in 1997. Therefore, with 22 years of experience in the category and a whopping 41% market share (including Lexus), the Japanese powerhouse is ahead of the curve from every perspective. Furthermore, with a $1.3 billion investment in new battery plants that will generate 1,700 jobs and 1.2 million EVs, Toyota is releasing another EV built in conjunction with Subaru, dubbed the bZ4X. No, that’s not an internal code, but the actual name of the vehicle.

It was an exciting day tossing German machinery around the 1.6-mile, 14-turn Driver Development Track at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, GA. It provides advanced instruction for enthusiasts and features a Heritage Gallery, Classic Factory Restoration Workshop, Driving Simulator Lab, and a Personal Design Studio.
Out of 37 programs, Automotive Rhythms ultimately selected the Cayenne Off-Road course and the Taycan Immersion Program with the all-electric Taycan Turbo S to demonstrate the zero-emissions performance sedan’s 0 to 60 mph speed of just 2.6 seconds, impeccable handling, and powerful braking from 10-piston front calipers.

The Moscow trolleybus system came to an end in 2020, with battery-electric buses to be deployed in its place. Apparently it was the largest trolleybus network in the world at one point. In 2006 a decent variety of vehicles were to be seen, including the archetypal Soviet ZiU-9 model. Here bus 1517 is working a 70 journey at a location I don't remember.

A day or so before the journey's end, the boat's hull was covered with the names of hundreds of individuals who have sponsored the expedition.
