The fastest electric car on the market
Elegant, electrically powered sports roadster by the American marque Baker, which at the time was one of the largest producers of electric city cars in the US. With this model Baker tried to make his electric cars look like the petrol-powered competition. The radiator however had no function and the batteries were located in the front under the ‘bonnet’. The floor-mounted dashboard was made up of one Volt and one Ampere gauge. The battery charger can also be seen here.
Walter Baker started working with electric motorcars as early as 1893 and set up his own company in 1899. Although he was successful initially, the popularity of the electric car waned due to the rapid development of the internal combustion engine. The invention of the electric starter, for example, made cranking a thing of the past. Baker halted the production of electric cars in 1916.

Several major UK companies are trialling electric vans, often launched in a minor blaze of publicity in the trade press, presumably to demonstrate that they are taking steps to reduce their carbon emissions.
How effective these new generation 'milk floats' are I have no idea, but it's a step in the right direction if we are seriously intent on reducing our dependance of fossil fuels. To my mind, small electric vehicles of this type should have been developed and perfected many years ago, but for the interference of the oil producers and the combustion-engine obsessed motor industry.
As our known technology stands, these types of battery-electric vehicles are surely ideal for local deliveries and pick ups in our crowded towns and cities.

"The Renault range has now been completely renewed and upgraded with a spectrum of complementary models, each one of which has its own assertive identity. With the TREZOR, we have pursued this renewal by introducing a new lifecycle sequence. This concept car is the fruit of a freedom of expression and prepares the way for the trends we are likely to see in our upcoming vehicles. These trends fall into two categories: French Design and Easy Life."

The orange racing stripes align with the leather seats, which are black on the edges and orange in the center.
The color choice and license plate rim left me curious, and sure enough, they look like the ”Professional” colors for the University of Illinois:
“The professional palette offers a more subtle approach with colors that are elegant, formal, and calm.”

The Corbin Sparrow has been dubbed the ‘Jelly Bean’, after the brightly coloured, kidney-shaped sweets that are popular in Anglo-Saxon countries, although its official name is the Personal Transportation Module (PTM). This all-electric, three-wheeled car looks more like a covered motorbike, and in the US the car is indeed registered as a motorcycle. The door to this single-seater is located on the right. The Sparrow has a low centre of gravity, which renders it stable, and the lightweight body is made of a strong composite. The car was intended for everyday use: its range is approximately 55 kilometres and in the US it can be driven in the carpool lane during rush hour. It can reach a top speed of 120 km/h.
The designer Mike Corbin is well known in the world of motorbikes and electric vehicles. In 1974 he broke the world speed record for an electric vehicle, with an average speed of 165.367 miles per hour, approximately 265 km/h. This record remained unbroken until 2009.

With NECAR 1 (New Electric Car) Mercedes presented the world's first fuel cell-powered vehicle. The fuel cell converts hydrogen and oxygen into water. In the process, electric energy is produced which drives an electric motor. The equipment took up all the space in the van's load compartment - much in contrast to today's vehicles with fuel cell drive.

Two heavy electric motors were mounted on the front wheels of this Hedag, one on each side – but unfortunately one of them is missing.
The batteries are located underneath the driver’s seat and at the rear. Its range was approximately 80 km and its maximum speed 23 km/h. The Hedag had four-wheel brakes, which was unusual at the time.
Indicators in the form of small black boxes are situated on the mudguards. At the press of a button these boxes would open up and a little hand would appear, at the same time as the sounding of a crackling signal. Note the bell at the front which was necessary because you could not hear the car approaching.
The Hedag was designed as a taxi, but this model was privately owned. The original number plate of the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant is still on the car.
Hedag is an abbreviation of Hamburger Elektrische Droschken Aktien Gesellschaft. The company obtained a licence to run taxis after a ban had been
imposed on petrol taxis in cities such as Hamburg and Berlin.

Well, the engineers at SRT have figured out how to maintain the performance traits of the electrified Daytona SRT Concept, demonstrated at the 2022 LA Auto Show. Dubbed, Fraztonic Chambered Exhaust, the digitized growl is mighty and lit up the entire convention center hall. Dodge uses an amplifier at the rear to empower exhaust notes akin to the traditional SRT Hellcat.

As would be expected given VDL's headquarters in the area, Eindhoven hosts a large number of buses from the manufacturer. Newest among those are the latest-generation Citea battery-electric types in what looks to be at least two lengths. Here Citea LF-122 2156 (49-BVL-9) in operator Hermes' fleet carries the customary Bravo livery as is has just passed underneath the tracks immediately to the west of Eindhoven Centraal railway station while working a 324 journey to Geldrop Coevering.
