The Zero, also called the Mitsubishi A6M, was a fighter monoplane used with great effect by the Japanese during World War II. Designed by Jiro Horikoshi, it was the first carrier-based fighter capable of besting its land-based opponents. It was placed in operation in 1940.

Inspired by The Wind Rises. I think this will be the last of these planes for now, until I finish some other projects.

Zero pressure.

Whilst the gauge is showing zero pressure there is zero assistance being offered to restore this vintage fire tender.

The tender forms part of the Australiana Pioneer Village at Wilberforce an organisation that is primarily operated by volunteers.

The organisation relies heavily on the goodwill of local service clubs and volunteers to assist in the restoration of old buildings and equipment.

Real Name: Grant Walker

Current Alias: Mr Zero

Abilities: He posses super strength as well as well as an gun that can freeze any object. He also possesses a similar condition as Victor Fries, but has a view more lethal side effects.

Attire: He Wears a green and pink containment suit.

Arkham File: The patient known as Grant Walker was an old man who ran an amusement park franchise. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and tried to cheat death by using technology stolen from Victor Fries Aka Mr Freeze. Walker used Fries’s technology to recreate the accident that gave Fries his condition that requires him to live in temperatures under fifty degrees below zero. This not only cured Walker of his cancer, but also caused him to age much slower making him practically Immortal. He eventually decided to try and freeze all of Gotham so his amusement park Oceania could live through the new Ice-age and rebuild the city after the ice melted. Batman recruited Victor Fries to help him stop Walker and they defeated him by evacuating and destroying Oceania by stop Walker. He was captured and sent to Arkham Asylum. He now resides in Victor Fries’s old cell. Walker’s condition seems to deteriorating at a rapid rate due to Walker not using the exact same chemicals that Victor used in his experiment. Walkers body has slowly started to shut down and while not all options have been considered, amputation might be the only way to save what’s left of his body.

Rain or shine this place is amazing. You can get lost all day just walking enjoying the smell of the sea and the sound of the waves slamming onto the rocks.

CN 323 is returning from Vermont with zero cars and CN 2333 & CN 8001 for power.

Driving home after work I spied this scene, hidden up a drive off the street I was on.

Of course, I circled the block and went back for more.

I had my Zenitar 16mm f2.8 prime lens on. I'm trying to learn it's ways. Practice, always practice. =)

The sculpture used to be located just off the street. I'd see it every night on my way home from work.

I'm not sure what the sculptor had in mind.

It reminds me of a zero.

Perhaps it's the building that it's in front of: the Illinois department of Revenue. The Tax Man.

Maybe not. ;-)

The piece was moved a year or so ago, during a renovation project. I'm not sure why it was placed here. Perhaps to clarify the meaning?
