Uova, farina, zucchero, mele, uvetta, mandorle, canditi e succo d'arancia, cannella e zenzero, un pizzico di sale, lievito e, invece del burro, a quel tempo lei usava l'unto rappreso della cottura del cotechino; il tutto in proporzioni ogni volta variabili, per così dire "a occhio", a seconda di ciò che c'era in casa.

buonissima ricetta.
facile, veloce e gustosa.
ho provato questo piatto un paio di settimane fa e mi e' piaciuto molto cosi' oggi l'ho preparato di nuovo per il compleanno di mia madre.
la zuppa puo' essere gustata sia tiepida che fredda, e' buona in entrambe i casi.

I'm guessing the cats brought it in. It was about 15 cm (6") long, it couldn't move but just flipped itself about. Thanks to M_Bono, meredee and BÃ rbol for help with identification.

The Siam Tulip or Summer Tulip (Curcuma alismatifolia) " Kra Cheaw " in Thai language is a tropical plant native to northern Thailand and Cambodia. Despite its name, it is not related to the tulip, but to the various ginger species such as turmeric. It can grow as an indoor plant, and is also sold as cut flowers.
One of the most famous wild fields of Siam Tulips is in the Pa Hin Ngam National Park in the Chaiyaphum province of Thailand.
