Socks and Shoes.
When I did my string, I saw this sock in here and thought it would be fun to do the toe, and heal and top to make sure it was a sock. The rest may not be a shoe, but what else could I name it.
Did this early this morning, while drinking my coffee & watching the news, rushed thru it ( with a few mistakes) so I could get out & rummage ... came home hot & tired & almost empty handed, oh well some days diamonds, some days dirt! ... This looks like it needs to be ironed out flat! :) ... Done on 8 1/2 x 11 black cardstock with marker & gel pen.
Zentangle, zendoodle, zendala, Staedtler Pigment Liner pens, sharpie ultra fine point colored markers, slight pencil shading.
Have been getting some questions about how I do these doily pieces and sinse I just upgraded to pro & can post as much as I'd like now ... thought I would show some pieces in progress & maybe answer some questions ... This is done on really cheap black cardstock, so no special paper ... I don't like to measure things out so... I have a square plastic pencil holder that I use next to me for my pencils , that's what I used to draw around & start off this piece ... I mostly use house hold objects for my circles or squares etc. The rest I just eyeball, maybe making a dot to connect to, just to keep things lined up a bit ... I used to worry & measure & try to make everything just perfect ... it took all the fun out of it & people did'nt believe that I had'nt used a program of some sort to do it ... except for my center piece, like the sq. here, it is all free hand & it's not hard or anything special, just simple designs put together ... I really meant to post this before I even got this far on it, but once I get started I work pretty fast & it's hard for me to stop! ... This is just white pencil designs with a little shading ... I did a little more on the top so you could see some progress ... the next part will be to finish the design work, then I'll post again before I start with the marker or gel pen... let me know if you like this idea of showing the work in progress or if you'd rather just see the finished piece. :)
