The headwaters of the Little Yoho River starts here at Kiwetinok Lake which is one of the highest lakes in Canada at 2450 meters elevation. This photo is taken from the slopes of Mt. Kerr.
A raven in Yoho National Park. This is a large and impressive bird, and North America's largest corvid. Their diet is varied and opportunistic, taking eggs and young of smaller birds in season, and carrion at other times. They can be quite aerobatic, tumbling and rolling in midair.
September hiking in the Canadian Rockies at Lake O'Hara. There's a two or three week window to catch these Larch trees in their golden splendor. Combine that with crisp clear air and some blue skies and you've got "heaven" right here -- no need to wait.
One is the chocolate drink, and the other is CP.
From July 1, 1998 train 607-086 with 112-0=14856 tons exits the lower spiral tunnel with his train still going over itself above.
This is from my days of working in Calgary for CP. I drove into the mountains often, and on this occasion walked into the lower loop keeping an eye out for bear.

A true wonder to behold, Takakkaw Falls are one of the highlights of Yoho National Park in the Canadian Rockies. The sound, smell, and light of this spectacle makes it one of my favorite places on Earth.
