Looking across Yoho Park's Emerald Lake at the Lodge on a snowy morn.
I thought my last post worked well in monochrome as well so thought I'd share it. Color version comments for comparison.
Also matches the tones outside my window this week. Snowing every day and at the moment. Beautiful!
Enjoy this 2nd to last day of 2021! New Year's Eve Eve. I'm personally looking forward to a better time in '22. Got many memory cards to fill......
Oh Canada - Emerald Lake Perfection, Yoho National Park, Rockies, Canada - No apologies for airing this once again, it takes me back to times when we were allowed to travel.
Capture made next to the flowing milk coming down from the extremely large cows that live up in the mountains ...
BTW ... Milk can be very loud ... drowning out the echo of moooo's that must be going on from high up there in the mountains ;)
A sunny, clouds and raining alternately day, hiking around Emerald Lake for 5 kms. Due to raining, the trail was very muddy, slippery and uneven portions along the lake path, but worth walking along it. Lots of photo opportunities as you wandered along with the lake one side and mountains on the other, the mountains was like on a fire!
The river waters drop and vanish here as they pass into a natural bridge being cut through the rock.
The special painted rear DPU of an Eastbound CP stack train grinds up Kicking Horse Pass, with the head end still inside the Upper Spiral Tunnel up the hill.
This river there in Yoho National Park drops out of sight and through the natural bridge being cut into the rock.
No private cars are allowed to drive in this area. Only restricted quota of bus seats are allowed everyday to protect the wildlife and surrounding area at Lake O'Hara in British Columbia's Yoho National Park. I do not need a bus to enjoy nature, I just hiked. It is 11 km one way but every kilometre was worth it!
Happy Fence Friday ... a neat view there where the trail crosses the flowing glacier waters as you head towards the tall falls.
