I've said it many times, but I'll say it again: The XC90 is awesome. Also, 4 digit plates from Luxembourg are awesome. Thus, this made for a cool spot. What's even cooler: I had spotted this plate on an ML before.
Our two Volvo XC90's outside our house. Black is the new model (2.0l turbo/ supercharged diesel) and grey is the older model (3.2l petrol). Both are excellent cars.
1/43 Code 3 conversion of a Volvo XC90 D5 AWD in the livery of an Official Volvo Demonstrator.
This model is based upon an actual vehicle that has been loaned to many UK police forces as an ARV or RPU vehicle.
I liked the livery, especially the black bonnet, so decided to recreate it. The base model is white and was made by Norev. I have designed, custom-made and applied the decals to the model.
It comes in the original box with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is a ONE-OFF vehicle that will probably never be made again.

2020 Volvo XC90 T8 R-Design PHEV
The T8 plug-in hybrid version of the XC90 is based on technology used in the Volvo V60 PHEV. The batteries which are situated at the centre of the vehicle can be charged using an electric vehicle charger and can also store energy recovered by means of regenerative brakes. Volvo says that the XC90 T8 sacrifices no passenger or cargo space to accommodate the hybrid equipment. However, the tank capacity was reduced to 50 L (13.2 US gal; 11.0 imp gal) for MY2016-2018 and there is no spare tire.

This Volvo XC90 from Denmark, was travelling along the A1 autobahn. The car was registered with 'tax-reduced' plates, also known as 'parrot' plates, which are issued to vehicles which can be used both commercially and privately, but may not have more than three seats installed. The colour scheme of these plates are very interesting, plus I don't see these plates that often. I also see these plates from time to time on SUV's, presumably as a way to reduce the high taxes of these vehicles of course.

I really hope that the owner of this XC90 chose the plate because of his car. X 90 should be the closest possible plate to "XC90" if you don't want it preceeded by another letter etc.

The XC90 is just a very cool vehicle and there isn't much to see during winter in Berlin, usually.

These red Swedish license plates are definitely eye-catching. And like thie Volvo XC90, many Volvos I've seen were U.S.-specs, picked up by their owners at the factory to then be driven around Europe before eventually importing to America. I am still waiting for a non-Volvo temporary plate.
On my most recent visit to the resort of Sitges in Spain one of my favourite Chinese bazaars had finally restocked with some more 1/64 goodies including some more Welly. Nothing I haven't got already sadly but there was no way I was leaving this excellent new shape Volvo XC90 behind as my only other outlet for them is in Bulgaria! LOL
There is nothing "showy" or extreme about this model, its just an extraordinarily realistic little pocket money 1/64 diecast which wipes the floor with its competitors for simply being too damn good! Looking more like an adult scale model it is perfectly formed with a very stock looking colour scheme, full length glass roof and lots of nice painted features and certainly habits the market now virtually ignored by Matchbox! Mint and boxed.
