Early this morning I had this WTK that allowed me to photograph him from about 20ft away. He just sat there and periodically looked at me and was looking below for any voles on the ground. I just sat there and took a couple hundred shots. He just didn't want to fly which was odd. Once I moved my left foot and the gravel underneath finally spooked him.
Backlit and foggy, we watched this young WTK hunting near us dive down quickly and back up with a vole. It flew to a nearby tree that we could observe from the trail. Another jerk photographer kept creeping closer on another trail causing this one to flush before it was finished. I couldn't see her approaching closer because a big bush was in the way otherwise I would have said something. Too bad you have a short lens... Any wonder why I get so annoyed by unethical photographers??
The Subterranean feel to Great Yarmouth bus station is seen to good effect here.First Great Yarmouth Volvo B7TL Plaxton President is on the service to Lowestoft. Outside it was bright sunshine.
Just as the sun was setting, papa WTK returned from the dish with a rodent. However they did a branch transfer and not an in air transfer (sigh). The falcons need to take a lesson from the kites on sharing.

After the rain stopped, the white-tailed kites were busy. I saw 3 food deliveries from the male to the female, two were transferred on a branch (like this one) and one was in the air. Unfortunately that occurred right in front of the sun.
