Unfortunately very late and went directly to the nest which is completely hidden in the tree.

One of the younger WTK chicks that was knocked off its nest wasn't able to climb up the tree so went up a bottlebrush instead. S/he wasn't very happy so kept screaming.

Been shooting birds from a greater distance than usual to observe behaviors.

Lots of distant flight shots below

Some time back, we watched a pair of nesting White-tailed Kites. It was a delightful experience to watch a complete food exchange. It was distant, but I have never been able to photograph or even watch a whole sequence. It was amazing!

Tried out the 1.7TC with the 500mm PF on the Z9 and seems to work much better than with the D500.

WTK already finished 1/3 of the meal. It decided to do some exercise before continue eating the big lunch.

在吃完三分之一的午餐後,白尾鳶決定先去舒展一下筋骨再回來繼續吃大餐。

Lots of white-tailed kites still in the neighborhood, not sure which are the adults and which are this year's chicks, so not sure if this is a parent passing on its catch to a chick or a male to female passage.
