This is East! The clouds to the west were just boring grey. Apparently some last rays managed to sneak through somewhere and colour the opposite side of the dome...
Wrong dimensions: 1st, they are falling to wrong place ( small ones), noting is there to catch them. 2nd, at right place ( shifted because of wrong dimensions) where there is something to catch big ones, there is also something wrong ( again because of wrong dimensions). A bigger one clogged the way, too big, coming ones can not get in.
Adrian & Blissfield's turn from Mason, MI crosses the CN at Lansing in the charge of SD40M-2 821 (a former SP SD45) and ex-GTW GP9 1751. The crew will work the CSX yard here for the better part of the morning and early afternoon before heading back south with 821 leading and 1751 bringing up the rear.
CSX train I137 (Baltimore, MD to Bedford Park, IL, stacks) flies along "wrong main", or what would have at one time been considered to be the wrong main, near the ghost town of Midway, Ohio on CSX's former B&O Garrett Sub on a warm summer day. The lack of double stacks is a clue that this train traveled through Howard St. Tunnel in the Port of Baltimore.
P&W 3902 leads 4301 and eighty ethanol empties for the Green Mountain Gateway over the causeway at Acme Pond, north of Putnam, CT. The train is bound for the NECR connection at Willimantic.
As with my last two ethanol uploads, I should have been on the way to work. Instead, I found myself in Connecticut.

As the weather was not that good for rock-climbing the whole week, I had hoped that being in the Provence would give me some opportunities for landscape-photography, using the fields of Lavender. Unfortunately we were too early in the season for the famous purple blooming.
Lucky for me we passed by this field full of lovely red poppies. Not what I had hoped for, but hey: sometimes you have to take it as it is....

Re-potted several plants this morning. I know it's the wrong time of year to do it, but the two succulents on the kitchen windowsill had got so big they weren't allowing the blind to shut properly anymore. I potted two of their 'babies' to go there instead, and moved the massive ones elsewhere.
Did some cleaning in the bathroom this afternoon, and then got out for a walk to Greenwich Park. I wasn't feeling particularly energetic, but it was so nice out I ended up doing quite a long walk, visiting both viewpoints and wandering through the trees for views like this.
