Predictable I suppose, a 66 and a 60 T&T through Shrewsbury late doors, and I'm all set with tripod and 2s exposure, and the Tug's on the back - oh well...
66121 pauses for a driver change (thanks for standing still for 2 secs mate!), with 60099 on the rear of 6W50 Bescot to Wrexham Exchange for an overnight posession on the Borderlands Line at Queensferry. Monday 8.4.13

These guys are on the wrong racing line! They were still quite a way from me but I must admit I did step back a bit!
They are Howard Baker and Mike Killingsworth on their 600cc Honda / D & J Bikespares, Lincoln They did their second lap in 22 40.69 with an average speed of 99.823 mph. They were clocked at 137.000 mph on the Sulby Straight.
This photo was on their first lap and the bike made quite a few loud noises as it passed me. I was surprised they did a second lap.
Though I thought I'd implemented a pretty charming by-title system a few weeks ago, last night I was taken by a jones to rearrange my bookcase. I was obviously and readily inspired by "There Is Nothing Wrong In This Whole Wide World," the San Francisco installation which I've pretty much not stopped being in love with since it happened, and even potatoes, sort of.
That's pretty much all of it, there. I like that it's just one bookcase's worth. (It holds up okay in larger sizes. If you want to snoop, I won't stop you.)
Attempt number two and I have done it wrong again. I am just posting the picture so that you know that I AM really working on this thing.

Infrared combined with a color image.
This is two images, both taken with a Canon A590 IS running CHDK. The first was made with a Hoya R72 filter, processed from a DNG in Adobe Camera Raw using a custom profile to get the proper white balance in infrared. The second was a "normal" visible light image. Percentages of the red and green channels from the visible light image were added to the red and green channels of the infrared image, then the Khromagery false color action was applied.
Do you dare? Be aware, its all a little strange… A place once you visit you may never leave the same.

Not something I can recall seeing before - the 6E34 22:01 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Power Station biomass working getting ahead of 6E27 20:27 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Power Station, which is scheduled to leave more than 1.5 hours earlier.
6E27 had some challenges getting out of docks, probably due to it being a Class 66 vice Class 60, whereas 6E34 got away early and went the quicker route via Runcorn due to engineering works closing the usual route via Warrington.
As a result, GB Railfreight Class 66, 66727 "Maritime One" passed through Acton Bridge with 6E27 a few minutes after 6E34.
66727 had earlier been drafted in from Bescot due to at least one of the Liverpool 60s developing issues.
Thought this had kind of a surreal look to it, almost like the clouds behind were fake? Dunno, but this is the way I shot it.

Unless it is a Scania OmniCity on the 10, I haven't seen extra seats at the back like this before. Normally, there is a row of five seats at the back. They have evidently changed the design, with dual seats that would make the back row with a middle seat but the fifth middle seat has been removed to make a 'passageway' for three extra rear seats where the engine normally fills up the space. The engine must be allocated on the wall on the right of the photo. Just observations, please feel free to correct me if you know more or if I am wrong.

I recently hired a DVD (I know, how quaint, not Blu-Ray, not downloaded from iTunes - about as old fashioned as you can get) & it had a sticker from an old VHS rental inside the cover.
- Rewind tape after use
- Do not use pause button
- For minor static or lines adjust tracking control
- Do not handle tape in any way
- Do not expose tape to excess heat or moisture
