I loved this computer, the keyboards are great to write on. I don't like mordern laptops, they don't feel as comfortable to use. This had a 12inch screen, an ideal size, but was nearly imposible to upgrade.

i recall writing with a typewriter. i recall taking lessons for typewriting when I was in grade 9. Now I write on a key board of a computer and I write almost every day. I have ideas and they become reality ! What about you ? I have 3 blogs and i enjoy this a lot.

It's three days before Christmas and northwest Montana is flocked in winter snow.

The ubiquitous helper set that was based here at Essex (MP 1169 on BNSF's Hi Line Sub) is resting for a moment before being called for another workout shoving trains to the top of Marias Pass 18 miles to the east. I don’t believe manned helpers are used regularly or if a helper set is even based here anymore but back in 2008 a couple pairs of SD40-2s were always at the ready to assist trains to the top of the Continental Divide battling the grade that tops out at just over 2.2% in a few spots. While at 5215 ft Marias Pass is the lowest crossing of the Continental Divide between Canada and Mexico it is still a serious bit of mountain railroading. The pair of units made a nice sight with one still wearing predecessor Burlington Northern Cascade Green some 13 years after the creation of the BNSF. The other unit is no less attractive in its BNSF H1 scheme that harkens back to home road Great Northern’s colors of yore.

In the background stands the Izaak Walton Inn constructed in 1939 in the Tudar style , a truly splendid accommodation for railfans or anyone just wanting to get away from it all. As the owners of the Inn write on their own page:

Essex, Montana is a small railroad town located 60 miles east of Kalispell Montana, and bordering Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness Area but at one time, Glacier National Park was supposed to have a south entrance in Essex. The Addison Miller Company banked on that when they contracted with the Great Northern Railroad to build and operate a hotel and lunchroom on railroad land. However, World War II threw a kink in plans the proposed road and south entrance were never built and Essex went from future tourism hotspot to a small rail yard in a spectacular location. When completed, the Izaak Walton Inn boasted 29 rooms, ten bathrooms, a spacious lobby, dining room, kitchen with a two-ton cook stove, drying room, store room, and general store. It took twelve carpenters three months to complete.

Far more than the railroad alone needed, it was an oversized inn in an undersized town, which led to losses for the Addison Miller Company. The company held on to the dream until selling to Harry Stowell in 1965 for the low price of $5,000. Only three years later, George A. Walker bought the hotel, and Sid and Millie Goodrich bought it from him in 1973.

By 1982, Larry and Linda Vielleux acquired the hotel, expanded services started by the Goodrich family, and emphasized it as a comfortable brush with the past in which cross-country skiers, hikers, and railroad fans all over the country and Canada can experience the Montana wilderness. After being named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, the Inn underwent a major renovation that added bathrooms to every guestroom in 1995. The Vielleux family owned the hotel until 2006, when the current owners, the Kelly family, purchased it and kept its reputation alive as a unique getaway for railroad buffs, families, and nature lovers.

Hospitality and warmth flow from the hotel, and thousands of guests revel in its serenity where they can disconnect from technology and reconnect to each other. Essex was once named Walton, named for the Izaak Walton Ranger Station, which in turn was named for the famous English author and angler. With that precedent set, it seemed logical to name the hotel the Izaak Walton Inn. The Inn maintains its railroad roots, supporting an ambiance of railroad relics and memorabilia. Including the historic cabooses and flagship diesel locomotive converted into beautiful, surprisingly modern cabins. Much of the interior and exterior of the hotel remain the same today. The Izaak Walton Inn has been nicknamed the “Inn Between,” and has found its own delightful niche in a million acres of wilderness.

All I have to say about this is that I'm so self-conscious, I can't believe I even took this, let alone uploaded it.

Oh yeah, one more comment:

It's really hard to write on yourself in lipstick when you can't see what you're writing!

And trying in a mirror doesn't work because I started writing backwards. XP

For WAH who are writing on hands. I have been deliberating about what to write on my hand and then what to write here, So I have gone for the Flickr Couch,

This is a bit how I am feeling at the moment. You will have noticed my sporadic commenting.

It has been great to have a house full of bright lively young people, but at the same time we are also managing tragic news about another young person, a friend of #2, who took his life at the end of July. Although our families have drifted apart in the last 3 years, I am surprised by how keenly I feel his loss. I cannot even bear to think about how his family, our old friends, are feeling. I am holding my children close to me.

Work has been very demanding and this is what I want to say to people all day when they come to me asking me to solve their problems, which seem petty to me at this point. But I do have insight into how I am feeling and I hope I am still as helpful and empathic as I can be.

Memorial Service next weekend and then we leave for a 2 week holiday, just the 6 of us, to Portugal. It's what we all need now.

I had english compostion at 7:30 and passed in my paper. I don't know how I did on it, because how much can you write on a 4 page short story that's seriously repetetive and mundane? BIKED HOME (was so completely overjoyed that I finally got the chance to ride my bicycle!) and got ready for the beach.

Went to the Ft. Pierce inlet with Spencer and I can't even EXPLAIN how much I love the sea. I love how I sink in the sand further and further with the coming and going of the little waves. I love the salt in the air. I love the sounds. I love the smells. I love almost everything.

Walked the bridge around dusk with Emerson. I ran the last half mile and I feel so good after workouts. There's such a thing as good pain, and that's what I feel. I love it.

finished with glass cover on...and story

Once upon a time there lived a village of gnomes on Berry Street. The air was sweet with smells of the earth, and lovely quiet bird noises were pleasant in the woods.

In the middle of the village lived Mr. & Mrs. Rose. They lived in the most beautiful cobblestone dwelling. The roof was a soft aqua and they painted the door a lovely chartreuse green. Every day Mrs. Rose walked down to the berry bushes and picked a basket full of berries. She would take them home and bake a berry pie. While the berry pie would bake, she would put her sheets on the line to dry from the daily wash. Mr. Rose never went hungry with Mrs. Rose always taking care of him.

To the left of Mr. & Mrs. Rose lived Mr. Gnoble. He lived in a medium sized tree stump house that he built himself in 1834. He hammered each rust orange shingle to the roof and painted the door blue. Blue was his favorite color, it reminded him of the creek where he grew up. Mr. Gnoble loved to read and write on his front porch in his big, comfy, brown chair.

On the other side of Berry Street was Mr. Lumbergnome. He lived in the biggest dwelling of all. Mr. Gnoble built it back in 1812 when his family was rather large, and after his children all moved out, he sold it to Mr. Lumbergnome. Mr. Lumbergnome was a handygnome of sorts. He fixed all of the neighbors broken furnaces when winter came around and also supplied the town with lumber from his back yard. He repainted his roof last summer because mustard yellow makes his dwelling feel more warm and cozy.

It was always sunny on Berry Street and the clouds were always taking shapes, hearts to be most popular. It was a quaint village of sorts and anyone was welcome, eve you! If you ever do happen to stop by Berry Street, make sure you stop and taste some of Mrs. Rose's berry pie, you wont leave disapointed!

Gospel Movie "God's Name Has Changed?!" (4) - Is Being Saved Equal to Being Purified? | Christian Family Movie | www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/movie-god-name-has-change...

Introduction

The Bible predicts, "I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write on him my new name" (Revelation 3:12). "You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah shall name" (Isaiah 62:2). In the last days, God appears to mankind by the name "Almighty God," does His work of judgment beginning with God's family and reveals His righteous, majestic and wrathful disposition. The significance of the name "Almighty God" is far-reaching; do you know what the significance of this name is? This video will give you the answer.

Storyline:

Her name is Wang Hua, and she is a house church preacher in Southern China. After she began to believe in the Lord, she found in the Bible that God was called Jehovah in the Old Testament, and was called Jesus in the New Testament. "Why does God have different names?" Wang Hua was extremely puzzled about this. She tried to find the answer in the Bible, but failed to grasp the mystery…. But she firmly believed that "There is none other name under heaven given among men, so Jesus alone is the Savior, and that so long as one held on to the name of Jesus, they would surely be raptured into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord comes again." Yet one day, Wang Hua heard some shocking news: "God's name has changed!" After that, her heart could no longer remain calm….

The world is changing, that’s what we see right now. Maybe for the first time in living memory at that scale. Comparatively to that changing, it barely noticed Covid. It’s much bigger that the global financial crisis. Can you feel it? ‘Cause it could be important. It could be the biggest opportunity for all of us. The world now is like a clean sheet, it’s beginning from the beginning, in a way. What we’ll write on it at that time?

long long day at school.

i fell asleep in 4th period, kind of embarrassing.

i had a crazy headache when i got home, so i slept.

woke up at 9, started homework.

near the beginning of the year i noticed a freckle on my left hand. ever since then i always use that freckle somehow when i write on my hand. today it dots the "i" in "Shine On."

didn't really get it from anything, i was just looking at some people in school and realized i wish i had the nerve to tell them that they shouldn't let anyone or anything keep them from shining.

neither should you.

God bless.

For 52WYW/Week 2 SOL & 7DOS

This probably just looks like a pile of rocks to many, but it isn't for this household. A few years back I was introduced to the idea of tangible ways to teach children with specific learning disadvantages, like dyslexia, Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, etc... the concept of quantity. How much money they need vs have for a specific toy. How many days till school is out. Goals to achieve vs accomplishments.

The objective is to add criteria to one jar, and as you check them off, transfer to another jar. It works much better than numbers on paper for many, including those here in my own home.

In this years jar I chose black pebbles so we can write on them in white permanent pen. There "WERE" 365 pebbles. But as each day of the year passes, we take one out and put it in the other jar. Today's pebble will say 106 on one side & on the other, we will use one word to describe how we made today matter because there will only be 359 pebbles in the other jar in the morning and we will never be able to get pebble 106 back.

Make today count.

Can you believe it is almost April? The weather is getting warmer over here, bluebirds sit and watch me write on my patio, and my imaginary balloons carry me off to wonderland each day.

Poêtrace has laid his stone

And his mark is indelible

In the world we read all his verses

We declaim them on the lyre.

Evening and morning the quatrains burst forth

Odes, elegies, and poems,

Metamorphosis of the moon

Who gallops to Jupiter

The poet conquered the earth

He even writes on stones

The ocean that has no mother

Quickly becomes the lover of his pen

Eternal waves that sleep

In the black depths of the sea,

Finally look at this garden!
