“I am lost without my husband.I am unable to look after the two children” says Sutha Dileepkumar (32) from Valvettiththurai in Jaffna Peninsula. Her husband who used to work as a day labourere went missing in 2006 from his home in Valvettiththurai in Jaffna.
500th day of missing cartoonist Prageeth Eknaligoda is currently being marked at the Lipton Circus in Colombo, Sri Lanka. A protest is organised by a concerned group of activists named as “The Rights Dialogue" (Aithiwasikam Sandahawu Kathikawa). Journalists and activists are taking part in the current protest held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Downpour stopped and balmy weather prevails as the protest continues.

Kellie writes: “Every year my neighbor trims her Christmas tree and then takes one of the branches she cut off and puts it in my yard - with one decoration. Therefore, I have my very own Charlie Brown Christmas tree every year. I would take it down as it’s almost February, but when she plants it in my yard, she “waters” it … freezing it to the bottom of the snow bank. I should also note that I live in Duluth, MN, where it’s winter 9 months out of the year, so by the time I am able to take it down, it’ll be time for her to put a new one up!”
