The Central Railway kept two specially prepared WP class pacifics on Agra shed to work the daily return tourist train 'The Taj Express' between New Delhi and Agra. The second of these WP 7170 was on Agra shed on the evening of 5 November 1978.

Built at India's Chittaranjan Locomotive Works in 1965.
