There is a story that when the Maya Indians of Guatamala have worries, they tell them to the worry people and then put them under their pillows at night. By morning the worry people have taken their worries away.

 

This particular critter travels around with me in my wallet, not to deal with my worries, but to remind me of the sweet friends I have and how thoughtful they can be. These hold especial significance with me at the moment as the friend who gave me these, Tracey "f**k off and die" Cunningham :) will shortly, somewhere in the world, be celebrating her birthday.

Again another animal image that just makes me want to know what they ate thinking. Maybe the one in the background is worried for the other?

I painted this piece in September 2007, and after scanning it, named it for some reason 'sydänahdistus'. Translated, it's something like anxiety of the heart. I don't know. I wasn't feeling that well, I quess.
