A few boats parked up along the beach of Hastings. Sea Fishing is quite common along these coastlines and Hastings is no excpetion to this. Currently parked up on the beach is a fully functional Fishing Boat RX89 all well looked after and by the look of it has also been recently painted.
With greatful blue sky, the blue paintwork compliments the surround and framed in a way, you can see the other various pieces on the beach that make up the working atmosphere.

Danzatone Fitness LLC is an eclectic company that’s passionate about health, fitness and longevity of life. We want to educate individuals about health and fitness as well as help in the fight against obesity in the U.S. and abroad. Our Commitment is to bring different aspects to fitness, we want to make it easy, fun and the best way for us to do this is by bringing the art of Dancing into a workout routine.
Danzatone is a revolutionary method of working out in three different dance styles. This idea was born when Jenny began teaching her Zumba classes in night clubs, in broad day light, adding an edgy yet exciting element to her work outs. Her clients loved the idea, they embraced it, they felt like they were in a night club, instead of a cardio workout class. By changing this one element, Jenny revolutionized the way people get in shape. She got her clients excited about working out in a night club, suddenly the blood got flowing and her students got pumped, most importantly they got healthy and in shape!
Migdalia Rodriguez has been working with SHI for 3 years and is a leader in her small community of Calle Larga. Daysbeth Lopez is the local SHI field trainer.
"My [wood-conserving] stove is the second one that Daysbeth made in this area. It was an opportunity for her to demonstrate a new project to us, a test. It worked so well I've told all my neighbors and they've seen how it works and now everyone wants one! It uses less firewood so it is economical and I don't have to buy fuel. I just use a couple of small branches each day to cook for my whole family. You can see, there's no smoke."
After the volunteers helped with the community tree nursery project at Migdalia's house she showed us the orderly rows of pineapple planted along the contours of a small slope next to her home. She said, "It is my grandchildren who will enjoy the mahogany trees, but in just a few years we can harvest citrus, plantains and bananas... See the pineapples that SHI helped me with? Daysbeth brought me some seedlings and showed me how to plant them so the soil wont wash away. My children love the pineapples. I have two types and I'll have a good crop this year..."
"I've been working with SHI for three years. At first I wasn't sure about joining with the organization, but now I know that they can really help people like me to make improvements in the short-term as well as help us plan for our futures... I tell everyone about the confidence that SHI has had in me and what good work they do. At first some people don't believe just like I didn't, but they can see my stove, my pineapple and now my tree nursery as proof of the results from SHI."
A neighbor, Baudilia Chiru, requested SHI's support after hearing about SHI from Migdalia. Baudilia was visiting Migdalia when the group arrived and told us, "I just have 1 month with SHI and I decided to work with the organization because I like the projects that others in my community are doing. I'd like to raise some hens, but I understand that I need to start out with some training. My first training will be on the 21st of March. Daysbeth visited to see my home and land and she will be coming back for the training and has told me that she will help me to start a garden and plant trees and plantains. I have two children. They are 10 and 11 and they are farmers too. We all work together to plant yams and rice. We are excited to try to plant pineapple... When we plant our rice we burn, but I've been told that there are ways to plant without burning and I want to try it and see if I can get ahead."

Virginia Beach conducted an active shooter drill this weekend (23 March 2013) at Corporate Landing Middle school to help prepare first-responders in the event of a school shooting. Dispatchers and officers didn’t know this was a drill until they arrived and the drill involved a mix of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, testing their response, actions, coordination and communications.

A whole row of people all hooked into Starbucks power sockets working away. Whilst I sat there sipping a great coffee I wondered what the hell everyone was working on!! Surely they hadn't set up office for the day.
Did they class this as working from home???
I met him in Treasure Beach. He wanted to sell me some friut, called Soursop, which I bought from him. We spent some time talking, and I was in love with his hands, so he posed for me like this. The hotel owner came out after some time and chased him away, which made me feel bad. He came back later that night with some special herbs for my journey.
For all three of us that were graduate students on this trip this was the afternoon and evening ritual: computers out at the bar. Working on research, thesis, grants, grading papers etc... Compare to the next image of undergraduates and professor relaxing
