In response to certain criticism that my photographic interests tend toward the fairer sex, I decided to even the score. While my photos of women may outnumber those of men, let me point out that this man is topless, well perhaps shirtless - which is not something I can say for the women in my photostream.
You should also observe that he is posing. Well, maybe not, but he was holding the board well aware that I was photographing him. His one stipulation was that if I sold the image to Playgirl, he wants a royalty. However I didn't get his name, so if someone from this construction crew reads this, go to my profile page and send me a message.
And yes, my wife knows I photograph good looking guys also.
Refurbishment of a restaurant / pub in central Galway provided this colourful portrait of one of the workers.
While watching this Northern Harrier 'working the hills' late afternoon at Bodega Head it made a turn and passed closely by while I sat in my car camera in hand...what a thrill!
With the sad news that 3850 went up in flames spectacularly yesterday here is another from the last time I shot her on a great chase of 608 and 610 with matched blue and golds.
New England Central Railroad train 608, the Mon-Fri Willimantic to Palmer turn job has reached the latter terminal and is in the process of building their 33 car train to take back 35 miles to their home terminal in the small northeast Connecticut town that was once surprisingly a major rail crossroads.
This long telephoto view sees them working hard at the south end of the yard strung out across the old CV Quabaog River truss bridge at MP 64.4 on the modern day NECR Palmer Sub. 608 is assigned two of the last three blue and gold original NECR units dating from the road's 1995 start up when Railtex purchased the CV assets from the CN. Just a busy Bee doing its thing during the morning on the grounds of Naval Lives Preserve in Gulf Breeze Florida.
This isn't me, if you think so.

Providence and Worcester local freight PR-3 is going about their morning chores switching in the compact Valley Falls Yard in this view looking north from the High Street crossing at MP 6 along the historic original mainline. GP38-2s 2008 and 2006 are original to the road having been built new for the then only 7 year independent company by EMD in Dec. and Feb. 1980 respectively), and they still proudly wear their red and brown colors despite being a member of the Genesee and Wyoming family for more than six years already.

Dark days -
Well as the second day without heating progresses - it's time to start wearing a hat indoors.
Fortunately the UK is undergoing a "warm" spell and the outside temperature is 12C, indoors it has dropped to 14C (mainly as a result of having open and close doors as we go about the day to day business of life).
My 99 year old mother-in-law feels the cold badly and normally has her part of the house at 30C has been complaining about the cold. She doesn't seem to remember that the heating is broken for more than about 30 minutes - so she is repeatedly asking me to "turn the heating up", (An electric fan heater is no substitute for a couple of big central heating radiators).
Hopefully the engineer will get the heating back on soon.
Seaview Transportation Company's SW7 SVTX 5 is spotting up a cebterbeam load of lumber inside the BB&S lumber yard on the long paved spur. The little 1200hp EMD was blt. Feb. 1951 as NYC 8851 and served PC and CR before being sold to the PW where it served mostly as a Worcester switcher until coming to the Seaview around 2002.

Delaware-Lackawanna PO-75 works Ardent Mills at Pocono Summit, picking up grain cars that were dropped off a few days earlier. With its Canadian wide cab clearly identifying its heritage, I liked being able to get it leading a train with it being one of the more unique engines thanks to the cab. 10-22-21
