Workers Party of Ireland members from throughout Ireland at the huge march of more than 100,000 people through the Irish capital in protest against government and IMF / EU austerity measures and the policy of pouring hundreds of billions of Euro into the failed banking system.

Supporters of the campaign to Stop the Extradition of Sean Garland making their presence known and taking up petition signatures in Dublin today (25/7/09). Sean (aged 75) is a former President of the Workers' Party of Ireland and is fighting extradition to the United States on trumped up charges of counterfeiting. Family, friends and comrades of Angie Murphy carry her coffin through Ringsend. Angie died on June 22nd after a long battle with illness. A double lung transplant patient, Angie never gave up fighting.

Cllr. Brian Bermingham, former Lord Mayor of Cork, pays tribute to Tomás Mac Giolla. Although from very different political backgrounds, Cllr. Bermingham got to know Tomás through the Peace Train organisation. In 2008, when Cllr. Bermingham was Lord Mayor of Cork, he and his wife, Lady Mayoress Eleanor Bermingham, received Tomás and May Mac Giolla as guests in Cork City hall.
