The Monument to the Foundation of the Worker’s Party is a monument in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. The monument is rich in symbolism: the hammer, sickle and calligraphy brush symbolize the workers, farmers and intellectuals. The element is 50 meters high to symbolize the 50-year anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The number of slabs comprising the belt around the monument and its diameter stand for the date of birth of Kim Jong-il. The inscription on the outer belt says "The organizers of the victory of the Korean people and the leader of the Workers Party of Korea!" On the inside of the belt are three bronze reliefs with their distinct meanings: the historical root of the party, the unity of people under the party and the party's vision for a progressive future. Two red flag-shaped buildings with letters forming the words "ever-victorious" surround the monument.

The Singapore General Election 2011 is fast approaching.Today, I received my voting card in the mail. I'm still on the fence with my decision. I rely a lot on online and social media to keep me updated. Seems to me the oppositions are doing the same. The opposition parties are quick to update and response to any related events, which the ruling party is left way behind and still trying to catch up.

For the first time since our nation independence, we are given a alternate choice, every constituency is up for grab. I'll be heading off to another rally tomorrow, and hopefully it'll help to make up my mind.

I attended the Workers' Party Rally last night despite them not contesting my constituency, just to experience the atmosphere haha. The stadium where the rally was held, was jam packed, and the crowd spilled over outside of the perimeter.

This is probably the most closely fought elections in Singapore for a long time(of course the incumbent party, the PAP will still hold power), and I'll be thinking long and hard whom to vote for.
