The employees accuse Walmart of continued unlawful retaliation against workers who speak out for change at the company. Some of the striking workers say that when they have come forward to call on Walmart to address issues with scheduling, wages, benefits and above all else, respect in the work place, Walmart has reacted by retaliating against them.
On the western bank of Inle Lake lies an area called Indein or Shan Bagan. It is dotted with pagodas or stupas, begun in the 12th century and added to by Shan princes up until the 18th century. Many of the stupas or chedi are overgrown and falling into ruins, which is probably not a bad thing, as there has been criticism of the quality of the restoration work being done.

A campaign to improve the working conditions of domestic workers in Indonesia titled “We Have the Same Right: Seven Stories of Domestic Workers” by reaching out to their employers and the public at large was launched by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Jakarta on Wednesday, 27 September, at Djakarta Theater XXI, Menteng.
The ‘We Have the Same Right’ Campaign consists of seven short videos, showing important roles of domestic workers in people’s lives, plights, journeys and hopes of the domestic workers. The Campaign focuses on labour rights of domestic workers that are often forgotten such as, among others, domestic workers’ rights to have one-day off/leaves, to have working contract, to be protected by national health system and minimum working age for domestic workers.
The Campaign also focuses on the employers of domestic workers – encouraging them to uphold the rights of domestic workers in their own homes. In addition, the Campaign higlights efforts taken by domestic workers and their organizations to be recognized as workers and to promote decent work for domestic workers.

I built this based on a road worker truck i saw when driving down the interstate. The truck had a small bed, it was an odd shape. but i decided to build a model of it. this model is not very similar to it's inspiration, but i like it anyways. : )
Every family in Konin has at least one member working either in the mines or in one of the coal-fired power plants. Not surprisingly, Greenpeace is an unwelcome visitor in this area, and not many would talk to us.

A háziméh vagy mézelő méh (Apis mellifera)
Életmódjuk:
A méhek a nektár és a pollen fogyasztására adaptálódtak; ezekből nyerik az energiát és a fehérjéket. A pollenek többségével lárváikat etetik.
A méhek kulcsszerepet töltenek be a növények beporzásában, és a virágos növények legfontosabb beporzói. Gyűjtenek pollent és nektárt is.
A legújabb elemzések szerint az emberiség élelmiszertermelésének mintegy harmada függ a rovarok beporzó tevékenységétől, nagyrészt a méhekétől.
Elterjedése:
Feltételezések szerint a háziméh eredetileg Indiából származik. Mint domesztikált állat, ma már a mérsékelt- és trópusi égövben világszerte elterjedt.
Megjelenése:
A méhcsaládban eltérő morfológiát mutató, és eltérő funkciót betöltő egyedek élnek együtt. A méhanya 22 mm, a here 20 mm, a dolgozó pedig mintegy 16 mm hosszú.
A dolgozó sötét csíkozású.
Nagy, összetett szemeik vannak, ezek az ibolyántúli fényt is érzékelik.
A háziméh elpusztul, miután a fullánkját használva emlőst szúr meg, más esetben vissza tudja húzni a fullánkját a dolgozó méh (pl.: viasz moly testéből).
Szaporodása és életmódja:
A háziméh euszociális faj, tehát olyan nagy családokban él, ahol az egyedek többsége nem szaporodik, hanem rokonait támogatja a szaporodásban. Nyár közepén egy egészséges család 40 000-80 000 egyedből áll. A családon belül méhanya rakja a peték túlnyomó többségét. A megtermékenyített petékből nőstények kelnek ki. Ezek lehetnek nemileg aktív utódok, tehát újabb méhanyák. Túlnyomó többségük azonban nemileg nem aktív nőstény, ők a dolgozók. A dolgozók is raknak néha petéket, de azok nincsenek megtermékenyítve. Ezekből a petékből csak "herék" , azaz hímnemű méhek lesznek. Ez a "szűznemzés" a parthenogenezis.
A méhek haplodiplod ivarmeghatározási rendszert mutató állatok, a megtermékenyített, diploid petékből nőstények, a megtermékenyítetlen, haploid petékből pedig hímek fejlődnek. Hím utódot, azaz herét tehát az anya és a dolgozók is képesek létrehozni.
Az anya naponta akár 1500 petét rakhat. A petéből 3 nap múlva kel ki a lárva. A lárva kb. egy hét múlva bebábozódik, majd a kifejlett állat újabb egy hét múlva kel ki a bábból.
Táplálékuk nektár és pollen. Az anya néhány évig (maximum 7-8), a here 4-5 hétig, a dolgozó kb. 8 hétig él.
