Conrail caboose 46131R, stenciled for "Northeast Region Cedar Hill Work Train Service" dwells in Worcester, Massachusetts.
It was a member of Pennsylvania Railroad's N-5 class, built PRR 477567 at Altoona in 1926. It would later become PC 19339.
Its breading season, and all the birds are very busy nest building.
These two Eurasian Coots, are working together very efficiently.
She is on the nest, and he is bringing nesting material to her at an impressive rate?
Every 15-20 seconds, he is back with more, as she rapidly builds the nest around her.
Here he is, handing over with great care, some more to her.
It was fascinating to watch? Remarkable teamwork!

Engineering works at Beattock Summit on 16th April 2023. There were a total of 8 locos from various companies interspersed between the various rakes of wagons. In view here from front to rear are 66108, 66561 and 66177.
I don't know what it was used for. Just thought it made an interesting shot tied up at the dock in the late afternoon light.

Someone must have been proud of this little house once. It has a fancy fence and a vinyl front door. There was an add-on, but it didn't look as interesting as the original house, so a strategic bush blocked it in this photo. Some yard work, shingles, and lots of paint and it would be good to go.

Iowa Interstate uses their Jordan Spreader to work the south side ditch along the mainline between Silvis and Carbon Cliff, IL.
IAIS 714 piloted the train due to the lengthy deadhead from Silvis to Bureau after this work was done.

Hi everyone,
I have returned from my time in Kenya and it was a rich and productive time in terms of photography. I'm currently going through thousands of images and will be posting a wide range over time.
