for Macro Mondays:leaf
Started with a recently acquired croton in a pot, made a macro and then remembered the leaf 'frame mask' on FastStone. It all carried on over several days and I am pleased to be retired!
The Lake Express Ferry heading out of Muskegon Port and over to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The view from the Park encompasses both the South Pierhead Light and the South Breakwater Light. Adding two more West Michigan lighthouses to my goal of photographing all 20. I'm up to 16 now, need another trip to the Michigan northwest.
...and finally a proper trip out with my newly acquired Z8, well I have had it since early June, just too busy with work to get out.
Please enjoy the beach details in Large. Thank you so much for your visit!
I am playing along with the Macro Mondays group and the theme of "eye". I made a deal with my model for her to pose for me so now I am off to work on helping with her chores.

It took 3 days or 3 different attempts for this boat tow company to get an abandoned boat off of our shore line. The boat had been pushed into the rocks over one of the recent wind storms and wasn't going to go anywhere. This day was a failure, but they were able to free the wrecked boat the day after...
One thing that I love about our area is some of the history that is here. If you look just above and to the right of the boat you will see what appears to be a perfect circle of birds sitting in the water. That is actually a set up old pylons that were used to hold targets for the piolets training for WW II.
After removal of most of the lawn from our front yard. I left a grassy path, because I like the look. This was taken in Spring, but now the area behind Musky has filled in quite a bit with native annuals (pollinator or "butterfly mix"). The backdrop is the neighbor's front yard, which is like a jungle (not complaining). Quite a few of my trees and shrubs are still in pots, as I think about placement. Fall is a good time to transplant, although some will remain in containers.

Windows are an important part of street photography for me. On the one hand, there are the interesting reflections, but also the confusion that sometimes arises and has to be resolved first. I love it. I would be delighted if you would take a look at the pictures in my album. Only if you feel like it, of course :-) Best regards MarioM.
Fenster sind für mich in der Streetphotographie ein wichtiger Bestandteil. Zum einen sind da die interessanten Spiegelungen aber auch Verwirrungen, die es manchmal gibt und die erst einmal aufgelöst werden muss. I liebe es. Es würde mich freuen, wenn du dir die Bilder in meinem Album ansehen würdest. Natürlich nur wenn du Lust hast :-) Liebe Grüsse MarioM.
Two fishing crewmembers in sunny morning do some maintenance work on their large vessel while it is anchored near the village seashore for some necessary repairs.
Taken in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.
Leaf-curling Spider (Phonognatha graeffei) female
We have gusty wind today and the 'anchor point' (upper Left) of her web was working loose. I watched her add several strands of web to strengthen it. I couldnt get to the other side to capture her at work. Having finished she climbed back down the side of her leaf home.

Funny how it seems that though we should be trying to prop each other up and form a community there's usually someone working against others. Someone who feels like they aren't getting what they deserve or jealous or just downright ugly in their soul. Keep you head up and keep pushing forward, recognize your gains and be humble enough to recognize your deficits. Never let anyone else convince you that you aren't enough.

See me come and you can hear my sound
Tell somebody in your town
Spread the word, spread the word
Go call the police, go call the governor
I bring the treble, don't mean to trouble ya
I make it bubble up, call me the bubbler
I am the bad bitch, the bitch that you're loving up
Hold your head high, fingers to the sky
They gonna try and try ya, but they can't deny ya

I'm trying to work out a way to use Fomapan 400 as a Kallitype negative, but it's proving difficult to get it to work as I want with Pyro developers. With Pyrocat HD it produces lots of density but higher values are all mashed together into a flat mess. I think I will give up and stick with FP4 for making Kallitype negs.
This is the second of two identically exposed sheets of Fomapan 400, this one developed in home made Mytol, an Xtol ascorbate clone.
