I had a bit of time owing, so I manged to go for a walk after work while it was still light and sunny, and I was rewarded by this nest of Canada Goose goslings with an ever watchful parent goose very close by!

Assayer's work sink.

I actually love my job. It's sometimes I'd just like to play in the fog.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

As seen on a very cold morning with heavy frost.

Mal at Work

Here's Mal, one of the men volunteers at work at the Repair Café which we visited.

He showed me the merry-go-round he had repaired so that "the drummer drums and the lights flash on and off."

Looking at the back of the clock, originally from Jersey Pottery, he had decided to completely replace the mechanism and the battery casing.

I made him laugh when I told him that I am totally in awe of anyone who can take an item to pieces to solve a problem - and put it back together again.

for Macro Mondays:leaf

Started with a recently acquired croton in a pot, made a macro and then remembered the leaf 'frame mask' on FastStone. It all carried on over several days and I am pleased to be retired!

I am playing along with the Macro Mondays group and the theme of "eye". I made a deal with my model for her to pose for me so now I am off to work on helping with her chores.

On a cold crisp Saturday afternoon an Alaska Railroad company work train clips south along the ARR mainline at about MP 80.7 just south of Bird Point enroute to Portage where they will set out some cars before turning around and coming back north. The three bought new GP40-2s provide a history of the ARR in paint - from the austere black and gold of the mid 1970s Federal days to the bold blue and yellow of the 1980s and State ownership to the sophisticated scheme of today debuted at the dawn of the millenium on the SD70MACs which is now the ARR's standard.

Note: since this photo was taken 3002 & 3012 have joined their sister and received the current ARR scheme leaving no GP40-2s in the Alaska Bold scheme and only three in old school black and yellow.

Another photo from the secret garden in Kemerton, I took this view a couple of months ago with far less vegetation and only one wheelbarrow. Spring has Sprung!

LOL - this girl makes me laugh.. litterally I am giggeling out loud when she does stuff like this!!!

Windows are an important part of street photography for me. On the one hand, there are the interesting reflections, but also the confusion that sometimes arises and has to be resolved first. I love it. I would be delighted if you would take a look at the pictures in my album. Only if you feel like it, of course :-) Best regards MarioM.

Fenster sind für mich in der Streetphotographie ein wichtiger Bestandteil. Zum einen sind da die interessanten Spiegelungen aber auch Verwirrungen, die es manchmal gibt und die erst einmal aufgelöst werden muss. I liebe es. Es würde mich freuen, wenn du dir die Bilder in meinem Album ansehen würdest. Natürlich nur wenn du Lust hast :-) Liebe Grüsse MarioM.

Near Roseberry. Southern Sydney.

Discovered on my recent walking tour of the 'Green Square' and Alexandria precinct of Sydney.

Alexandria is home to many warehouses, cafes and car dealerships.

'The Grounds of Alexandria' is a fine, chic, cafe in this cool industrial zone of the city.
