Work started this morning on the disused fuel tanks at the garage. This afternoon, the coverings on the old lumps had been removed with no pumps in evidence. It looks as if they may be degassing the tanks and sealing them.

This is what my office at cognitive systems looks like. It's really mine and Jim's office, but on the first day Jim forgot his power adapter, so I had it to myself.

It's hard to tell, but the computer in the background there is a ancient sun desktop.

317/365 Wednesday 13 November 2013 - I took this on my way home from work. Trying out my new phone outdoors. I popped home and then went to Thame to sort out some paperwork. Got home and was deflated to find the hotel we wanted to book for a night this weekend was fully booked.

in a friend's office

I'm so used to wearing my PHole clothes that I don't even change out of them to run errands after work. Like today I went to the library and then to the park to read for a while and I didn't even bother to go home and change first like I used to.

I got some books I'm really excited about reading: Monsters of Templeton (pictured! I'm halfway through already), Celebutantes, A Wolf at the Table, What Was Lost, and Her Last Death. I just get in the mood to read sometimes. Like earlier this week I finished the Unbearable Lightness of Being and last week I read Alice in Wonderland in one sitting. But then sometimes I go months without reading at all. Example: I've owned the Unbearable Lightness of Being since August and I just finished it.

I sent a list of apartments to Dad so he can check out the neighborhoods. He's making a list of the safe/unsafe ones. Next step is going with Jen to check them out in person. I'm pretty sure this is really going to happen and I'm really excited. Terrified - I don't like the idea of trying to find a new job - but excited. It's still a few months away but it's starting to feel real. I'm leaving Denton! Horray!

P.S. When I first henna'd over the summer, my hair was that bright red for real. I miss it! Time to henna again for sure.
